Capítulo 14: where am i
I'm not sure how long iv been in this room but I'm starving, I start pacing the room when the door slides open , I run to the bed and cower against the wall , a man in a white coat walks in carrying a tray of food "hi Larissa"he says as he places the tray of food at the end of the bed "my name is doctor micheals but you can call me Sam" he looks at me as if he expects a reply but I'm too scared to say anything so he goes on " well i must say you are a first for me ,usually the girls just cry and are so hysterical i have to sedate them at least 3 times before they calm down,but from what iv been told you haven't cryed once" I'm still at a loss for words so i just let him ramble on, he looks like the type to ramble " well anyway come now eat, i know you must be hungry" "no" its the first words out of my mouth "come now,come now its not poisened see" and with that he takes a sausage off the plate and takes a bite ,chewing slowly before swallowing before he says "see, look ill tell you what you eat ill talk ,now how do you like that idea".
I nod once then scoot down the bed and pick up a sausage from the tray dr Micheals...Sam smiles at me encouragingly I sniff the sausage before I take a tentative bite, flavours explode in my mouth iv never had sausages before, we couldn't afford them back home, I eat the rest of the food more enthusiastically as in I scoff the lot barely taking a breath its only when I lay the plastic fork down and hear a chuckle that I remember that I'm not alone, feeling embarrassed I scoot back up the bed "don't be embarrassed dear, being hungry is not a crime after all" I don't say anything just watch him warily so he just continues " so Larissa I'm guessing your confused see to why your here, I'm going to fill you in and maybe put you at ease a little bit before your assigned a new mentor and your training starts" "training " I whisper "yes yes its nothing to worry about, don't worry ill get to that in a moment" he looks at me in what i can only guess is an encouraging smile before he says " well as you know you were taken from home and now your here" "but" i stammer "where is here" "now where we are isn't important Larissa what we do next is" he replies " now for the next few weeks you are going to be in training, you will have a personal instructor,then at the end of training you will be tested and sorted into agroup, now there are 4 groups the first is Alpha to which you have no chance of getting into,nobody does but you better learn who your Alphas are because they can kill you in a second" "kill " again I'm whispering "yes dear"he chuckles "kill , next is the Betas they are the warriors most try to aim for that group but hardly any ever make it and the next worthwhile group is the Omegas well they are the slaves they fetch and carry for everyone else and are basicley seen as the lowest of the low,so that's all i have to tell you"he says as he starts walking towards the door "wait" i practilly yell causing him to stop and turn with raised eyebrows "what if... what if i don't make any of those groups " he smiles and says "well in that case you will be deemed useless and put to death,....but dont worry I'm sure you will be fine".
