"WELL THERE'S GOOD NEWS."
I looked up as Doctor Michael casually strolled into the room. He stared down at the small clipboard in his hand, a minuscule smile on his face. I was slowly learning more and more about myself with each passing day, as Xeros, and my brother Devin, helped.
"Really?" My face lit up. "What is it?"
"Well looking at your test results, I think I can confidently say no permanent damage has been done to your brain. While your leg will take a few weeks to heal, I think I can say that part was obviously expected."
A genuine smile crossed my face for the first time in days. "So...does that mean I'll get my memories back soon, too?"
His face dropped a little. "While I strongly believe they will return, I can't say for certain whether it will be in a few days, or a few months."
"Months?" I echoed. "It could take that long?"
