Michael's POV?

We walked into the house and Jade instantly walked up the stairs after carrying Zeus into her arms. The pug could surely tell that something was wrong with his favorite person.?

I sighed and combed my fingers through my hair.?

My phone rang as I made my way to the kitchen, searching for something to make for Jadesola and I. We had stayed at Jade's mom's place the whole day. Jade talked to her mom while I watched TV. I talked to her mom too for a little while and she was a nice woman. Either that or the fact that she knew when she would die had humbled her.?

I answered my phone, pressing it to my ear as I opened the fridge. I grabbed an apple and bit into it.

"Michael Olumide"

"Please don't hang up" I sighed at the sound of Esther's voice and glanced behind me. I didn't like the feeling that washed over me.?

This wasn't right. I was a married man.

I loved Jadesola and I didn't want to do anything to hurt her. Especially now that she needed me the most.
