Capítulo 52: Chapter 52

Never in my life did I think I would find myself in a situation like this. Waging war against voices. Voices oddly similar to the woman laying next to me.

I smiled a little and gulped, putting her hair in a tighter hold. Dried streaks of tears were on her face. I was broken but I couldn't even imagine how Aduke felt. Losing a baby. One she carried for four months.

Fortunately, she didn't block me out. She cried the entire night and sometimes spoke about how she imagined our baby would look. Very much like I imagined her.

We should have seen the doctor twenty four hours ago but my wife needed me more.

"You're not sleeping?" I snapped out of my trance when her hand grazed my cheek. Her cheeks and her eyes were puffy from crying. I leaned into her touch.
