Capítulo 262: Jhoto - Altomare
Ash, "I see the Pokemon center."
Gou, "Nice, we can rest there."
Casey, "Yeah, hopefully nothing dramatic will happen."
Brock sweat dropped, "Are you still angry about that potion incident?"
Max, "I think awkward is more like it."
They had been traveling for a while and had run into Shuckle's old owner and they had been happy to see him. This time he was with his grandson, Rue, as his grand daughter was off in another City selling their wares and medicine. The group had been curious of the medicine and Rue had been happy to show them how they extracted the juice from Shuckle and processed it to use in different ways. Rue had requested their help in the extraction of the juice after showing them how it was done and things had been going well. At least, till they were at the second stage where they had to separate the extract for different potions that were used by trainers.
That included an aphrodisiac that Pokemon breeders used to facilitate a more active libido in Pokemon who had problems in conceiving. Unfortunately for Ash, Casey and Max, they were working on the extract when some of the more playful Pokemon knocked over a bottle spilling it's contents over them. There was no smell coming from it and since there were no reaction to it, they ignored it and kept working till it was time to change shifts. When they left the room their Pokemon started to sniff them looking at them strangely and the Pokemon that did not belong to them started to rub themselves against them.
Lucario had asked if something happened with them inside the store and they had to think and remember the bottle falling and it's contents spilling. It was fine in the beginning but then a pack of Ursaring appeared from the forest rushing towards them terrifying the life out of them. The three of them had called their flying types to fly up and Rue had come running to see what was happening only to face palm. Rue had called them down and told them to take a thorough bath after explaining they were probably exposed to a Pokemon aphrodisiac. Casey had turned red while Ash deadpanned and Max blanched before rushing to the baths.
They had scrubbed themselves till they were pink, feeling amused yet, mortified by the whole thing. It was all an accident but still, Ash shivered remembering how in the game it was bluntly said Pokemon and humans had intimate relationships. He loves and adores Pokemon, he truly does but it does not mean he wanted to have relations of that sort with them. All three of them also had a change in wardrobe after that with Casey changing her daily stripped jacket for a jacket that was yellow one side and black on the other side. Max was wearing a stripped green T-shirt with black pants and Ash was now wearing long sleeved black jacket with coloured stripes on the back.
Lucario, -At least it is over now.-
Kirlia snickered, -You sire were popular partner.-
Max rolled his eyes, "Say, Meowth, Lokoko, thank you for helping us out."
Lokoko, -No problem kit.-
Meowth, "You are most welcome."
Ash, "Agreed, thank you for doing damage control for us."
Casey, "Yeah, the last thing I want is to be sexually approached by Pokemon. I want to be eighteen before that happens."
Gou, "No kink shaming but age is important."
Brock nodded, "Yes, and it would have been bad for everyone involved if something had happened."
Ash winced not wanting to think about it and entered the Pokemon center, "Nurse Jim we would like rooms please."
Nurse Jim smiled, "We have two rooms available. Both rooms have three beds."
Casey, "We will take it. Max and Ash will be with me."
Gou, "If you are sure. We don't mind."
Max, "Because of what happened?"
Casey, "I need to make sure you are really okay to calm down."
Brock, "We understand Casey. Let's go check out the rooms."
Casey, "Yeah."
Ash, "Come on! Cheer up! We are heading to Altomare, a very popular spot for tourists."
Casey gave a smile at that nodding in agreement, "Yeah, you are right."
Lokoko, -Are we taking the ferry next right?-
Ash, "Yes, we are. If we travel down stream we will reach Altomare a week before the Grand Festival. Not to forget the girls are joining us too."
Brock, "We missed out on Serena's Grand Festival because of what happened back at Mt Silver range."
Gou, "It was not like we asked Team Rocket to attack us or try to get Ash."
Ash, "Please do not remind me of that. Ugh!"
Casey pat his shoulder, "Crazy family members. Can't avoid can't get rid of them."
Max, "It will be alright. I know I will not let him get away by hurting you."
Ash, "Awww ~ Thank you Max. I appreciate it."
Gou nudged him, "I will order dinner. Any requests?"
Brock, "I heard the roasted eggplants here are a specialty."
Casey, "Sounds good actually."
Ash, "A large serving for all of us?"
Max, "That's cool."
The dinner ended without any problems for them thankfully and the next day they headed to the ferry. The day started as peacefully as it could and the group had boarded the ferry that would take them to Altomare. The travel was really nice with the cool breeze and sunny day and the Pokemon were either swimming in the water, flying overhead or running across the river shore. Ash breath in the cool air feeling the warm rays of the sun on his face and felt himself relax as he enjoyed the ride. He looked at his Pokemon who hollered as they raced beside the boat. Ash chuckled as he pat his youngest Pokemon, Phanphy on his head as he cooed at the Pokemon who were racing each other.
Brock, "You look better."
Ash, "I feel better."
Brock, "Good, I think Gou was about ready to hunt Gonzalez down."
Ash laughed, "I see."
Lucario jumped joining them, -Meema, Noctowl mentioned seeing a city.-
Ash, "Altomare."
Brock, "Would you look at that?"
Casey joined them, "The Captain said we reached Altomare."
Brock, "Have a look."
Lokoko used her psychic abilities to join them as well, -I can feel some very strong presences there.-
Meowth who was sleeping next to Ash looked at her, "That's no doubt Latias and Latios. Their clan claimed that City as their own a long time ago."
Max rushed outside, "Gou said we were close to Altomare."
Gou, "The Captain announced it."
Ash, "Yup, look there."
Max had a bright grin on his face as he saw the old fashioned curve of the river bridge that neared them. May had shared many pictures of historical buildings and decor with him before and he could tell from the designs on the bridge it was pretty old and cared for. Gou took out his phone and recorded them entering the City getting reactions from the rest of the gang. Misty typed in she and the others would be there one day before the Grand Festival started, they were at Cerulean currently. Ash had a feeling Misty's sister roped them into performing for them at the Gym.
Misty, :My sisters suckered Serena and Melody into becoming mermaids. That in turn made Chloe and I join too.:
Gou, "Oh dear!"
Ash chuckled in mirth, "They will survive."
Casey, "I am very curious now."
Brock, "I will request Serena to send a video recording. I think it should be easy to get a recording considering the siblings were planning on getting video cameras."
Ash, "As long as they have fun. I hear the Archipelago three has been giving them a hard time."
Max sweat dropped, "Because Misty is a user?"
Brock nodded, "Yes, according to what Simon told me Legendaries are attracted to Aura users."
Casey, "So they most likely searched her out."
Gou, "Looks like it."
Ash, "I just hope she stays safe. Being an Aura user is not all flowers, sunshine and rainbows. At best case scenario it is lonely and traumatizing."
Brock, "At worst case scenario you are dead."
Ash, "Let's hope for the best."
Gou pinched Ash's cheek, "You are crazy if you think I will leave you alone."
Casey nodded, "Yeah Brock, I will always find a way to stay in contact."
Max nodded, "Yes, someone has to keep you out of there hands of people like Gonzalez."
Ash rubbed his cheek, "You three are so sweet."
Max, "I think you mean smart. Humph!"
Brock laughed, "Yes, smart."
Captain, "The ferry has docked."
Ash, "That's our que. Let's go."
They disembarked at the port and headed straight to the Pokemon center where Ash registered for the Grand Festival. After the registration they separated Ash and Casey heading for the training grounds to train and practice. Brock joining the volunteer program with his nurse pass which was pretty impressive with all the positive remarks. Gou and Max decided to head to the library, both of them had their own reasons for going there. Max had promised May more details while Gou was doing research for Professor Sakuragi.
Lance, "I see you reached here without any problems."
Ash smiled seeing him, "We did, how have you been Lance?"
Lance, "I have been better. Where are the others?"
Ash, "Training grounds, nurse volunteer, library. Guess who is where."
Lance chuckled, "Easily guessed. Casey at training, Brock is volunteering while Max and Gou are at the library."
Ash, "Are we that easy to figure out?"
Lance, "Only to those who took the time to know you. Speaking of knowing there is someone I want you to meet."
Ash was curious, "Who?"
Lance, "Come with me."
Ash nodded, he had just been wrapping up his training for the Grand Festival before Lance had arrived. After making sure his Pokemon were taken care of and relaxing at the Pokemon corner made specifically for them, he set off after the red haired man who told him to follow. Ash observed the roads and buildings as he followed Lance only to see a very familiar building. Ash was pretty sure it was the building from the movie Pokemon Heroes but kept quiet as he entered behind Lance. Once inside Lance was greeted by an old man and a young girl that Ash recognized from the movie, he should have known.
Lance, "Ash, these are Bianca and Lorenzo."
Ash smiled politely, "Hello, nice to meet you."
Lorenzo, "Pleasure to meet you too. Though I wished it was under better circumstances."
Ash, "Agreed, unfortunately Team Rocket has been more active."
Bianca, "So, they plan on using that weapon? Are you sure?"
Ash had a tired smile, "Afraid so. I wish I could answer no, but that would be a lie."
Lance, "Is there a way to dismantle the thing?"
Lorenzo, "Bluntly speaking no one has found out how to use it. We have tried to dismantle it before but the Defense Mechanism was created to defend Altomare so we are reluctant."
Ash, "You do not have to destroy it. You just need to remove an important part like a key that will make it impossible to use."
Bianca, "That could work but what should we take out."
Lance, "Well you know that item better than anyone else."
Ash muttered, "And I do not fancy being used as a battery for it."
Lorenzo, "What? A human cannot power the D. M. A. The only ones who can are the Aura users... Oh! You are one, aren't you?"
Ash nodded, "Yes."
Bianca, "No wonder you are worried. I will figure something out."
Ash was about to answer but Lucario grunted and hit something getting a shrill shriek from the Pokemon. Ash and the others blinked as Latias appeared and pouted at Lucario who was looking at her unimpressed. Latios appeared beside her sighing at her antics and stared at Ash getting closer to him sniffing. Ash pat his head in return scratching his scale like feathers getting a purr from the male. On seeing that Latias nudged Ash's other side making sad soulful eyes at the raven haired teen making him laugh.
Bianca giggled, "Well, that is that. You are family now."
Lorenzo laughed, "Indeed."
Lance chuckled, "Well, that just means you will have someone to help you if something went wrong."
