"Manajuwejet!" I said. "It's been so long, let me see if I can meld up a Celestial Heavens mana."
"Sorry, kid. I've already been paid. You... Look, just come with me and it'll all start to make sense."
"Are the blue reflections in your eyes new, or have I just not noticed?"
"Just don't. But... yeah, they're new. Thank you for noticing."
"Is that like a spiritual equivalent of a new ability?"
He sighed, "Look, survive the night and I'll tell you all about the [Eyes of Sapphire].
We stepped through a wall of glitter, directly in front of a desert cave.
"This isn't the Holy River." I said.
"Yeah. Sorry, kid, but this is where I was paid to take you."
"I just go inside?"
"If you want to die, yeah."
"So I wait here?"
"Again, at your own risk." he said.
"Okay, give me five minutes, I'm going to see if I can do this from memory."

Mike_Kochis It was so tempting to let Rhishi break through, or just to keep [Inherent Immortality]. But something felt wrong, and I figured out what it was. No, not that I would then be free to have Rhishi hurled off mountains or his head hacked off.
I made a promise shortly after Rhishi's first breakthrough. Nothing else that he hasn't earned, and that's been less of an obstacle than originally planned. In a sense, letting Rhishi [Restart Life], even the once, was a big breach of that trust, even if it set him back quite a bit.
So... maybe, MAYBE there is one breakthrough coming. MAYBE, but possibly not. It requires a lot of thinking, and a lot of snacks and sodas.

PS. So far, so good. MAYBE I'll be paid again after a month of no missed chapters. But possibly not, also.
