Well, I didn't figure something out in time for dinner. Not that night, anyway. I did discover that my System Crafting could unspool rope into individual cords, and those into twine. I didn't need it broken down further than that.
I didn't need to heft each load of shovel, placing them into inventory once freeing them from the Earth. Then, I discarded an inventory's load wherever I was trying to augment a ridge or create annoying footing. <1>
Sand and dirt, and beneath that a layer of clay too coarse to worked into … well, into good usable pottery. I suppose clay is clay.
Clay. And the dried foliage could pass for straw. Given time, I could make mud-bricks. It wasn't like my System Inventory stopped or even slowed time.

About a week after I expected to be back at this, but at least I'm working on this again. Temporarily, I have misplaced my outline. I know it's here somewhere; it just isn't where it's supposed to be. For now, I'll go on without it, and just use post it notes to organize the pieces I can remember.
Thank you all, for your continued readership; it made getting back to writing all the easier.
