The two young women crouched beneath thick cloaks to keep out the worst of the night's cold, walking a slow perimeter around the low fence.
"Full moons always seem colder to me." Said the taller.
"At least we have good line of sight. Not that any monsters are actually out there."
"Absolutely no monsters." The taller assured her. "We're going to have a quiet night, guaranteed."
After several paces in silence, they both sighed.
"That usually works."
"I know! Monsters suck."
"Monsters suck." The taller agreed.
Behind them, a monster moved. It resembled a rat, if rats had deformed heads and had a condition resembling mange, except that the skin at those points were covered with scales. Yes, that was me.
So yeah, covered just short of a week of time, and won't miss it. I'm trying to just get past the "Little Rhishisikk" phase. I think we've covered that. People are [Censored], even if they're Uruk.
But, on the plus side, we're finally to Walking Upright, and Rhishi having to interact with people more than animals. It was supposed to take another chapter or two, but I realized I didn't want to write those, which generally means you all don't want to read them.
As always, thank you for your ongoing support and readership. It means more to me than I can put into words.
