Capítulo 17: chapter 16: conquering a goblin camp part 4(final)
As I begin to feel the atmosphere when the battle is about to start it's like all the air around me froze solid even the air in my lungs the feeling it gave me both excited me and scared me then again if you work the normal 9:00 to 5:00 being finally thrown into this situation would give anyone excitement and scare the crap out of them I looked around ready to engage in the melee I noticed the archers kept firing then I heard an explosion before I saw the barricade that was a few feet in front of us explode it was engulfed by flames I shouted it before I saw the enemy going through the wreckage
"Everyone here they come now this is a real battle!"
As I shouted this I noticed the goblin warriors stood behind me and luck was right next to me when I moved forward the rest of them followed rather surprising number of gallons left on their side Jersey from the counter in top right view of my eyes there are only 70 of them left I guess our barricade did take out a lot of them including the traps we set I then took a swing at the first goblin I saw who was my enemy only to notice one other goblin jumped out with their spear ready to pierce me but luckily enough for me look brought his great sword onto that goblins torso with a powerful/severing him in half luck and I were back to back small group of warrior goblins that were on our side we're fighting with us as our blades took many lives I noticed the shaman who had joined us was preparing a spell and next day before I knew it lightning struck all around us hating our enemies in the first few seconds the numbers of the enemy from 70 turn to 30 and I noticed there was a notification and it said
"The enemy has broken now is the time to strike. either killing blow or to make them submit"
Well much thought I shouted
"Capture them"
The goblin warriors and all the undead did exactly that look and his shaman friend looked at me strangely wondering what I had planned with the morale broken and so few numbers they gave up pretty easily but I noticed their shaman was not here amongst them
"Parthenax and luck take a small detachment of troops to capture the enemy shaman and or kill her if you cannot capture her"
They seem to follow their orders very well and began heading deeper into the cave the goblins that we did capture were shaking they were afraid which for some reason brass smile onto my face looks shaman friend was right next to me so was Luna she spoke and then the shaman spoke
"So Jack why are you going to do with them?"
"Yes I would like to know that and please keep in mind they only falls my sister because they thought with her at the helm they would be unbeatable"
I placed my hand at my chin messing with the facial hair I had recently grown over the past few weeks then I spoke with a smile
"Well they have a choice join us or be slaughtered I get new troops regardless of what they choose it's just rather it would be living or undead troops"
I said this as I smiled at the goblins who we had captured they all looked afraid until one of them spoke up
"I will serve"
He got up and joined the rest of the goblins who were on our side soon after others would follow him until there is one left who simply stayed where he was and spoke
"You will have to kill me I will not betray my wife"
With those words I clench the handle of my greatsword beginning to walk towards he as I raised the blade over my head I saw his eyes closed he was ready for death so I granted him his wish I brought my blade downwards to decapitate him and I did his head rolled over the ground blood flowing out of him the grass under him turning red I stared blankly at the corpse I couldn't resurrect him because I took his head off either way there was more than enough corpses down the tunnel for me to raise with the help of parthenx when he returns I then looked at those who had just joined me
"You will have survived now I have some questions for you shaman"
I began to move to a secluded spot a few feet away from everyone else the shaman did fall out she sat right across from me glaring me in the eyes with such a look that you could easily tell was a mixture of gratefulness and hatred with a little bit of curiosity
"My first question is are there any other tribes in the surrounding areas?"
She stay quiet for a few minutes and then replied
"There is but they are the warrior clans"
I adjusted for her to continue and she did
"They're called clan newmar they dwell over the mountain to the west of us and the icy plains the tribes in the icy plains are much stronger than us and any other tribe within any other area the icy plains are homes to wyverns Titans and the frost Giants you could not be born weak there otherwise you would certainly perish they will not submit easily since they have not submitted to their land horse survival"
I opened my mouth with a smile staring at her
"If that's the only plan then tell me how large is the cave system where your tribe lingers"
she placed a hand to her chin and she looked around
"I would say a few thousand miles we had cleared out the tunnels beforehand when we first settled there so there's no other monsters there they were only us"
I smiled as the next question I would ask would be a very important one
"I'm going to use the mines in your Clan territory to my advantage to gather resources and other valuables your tribe and you and luck will be protecting the miners since you're so used to that tunnels after we have taken all the metal and other gemstones from it the territory will be yours completely again then you'll be able to do whatever you want in there well besides answer my call to arms when you are needed for a battle are these acceptable terms?"
the look in her eyes changed it was pure gratefulness and well the other emotions I could see in her eyes I couldn't tell what they were she then spoke with a smile
"Those terms are acceptable but I would like to add one more condition for my people"
I raised an eyebrow as she would continue speaking
"This condition is once you have built a proper City we goblins will be known as your allies and will be treated as a sovereign Nation meaning we do not have to follow any laws you make or religion that way my people will grow into a great empire that stands alongside yours"
I had a smile on my face as I heard this negotiating without using mind control spell to turn it into my favor only and honestly the thrill of this was quite amazing I placed my hand to my chin as I would be thinking about it tapping my feet to the ground then I would look her straight in the eyes with a smile and speak
"that additional term is acceptable for my party so I believe we have a deal"
We both shake each other's hands and with a small we returned back to the rest of the group I approach Luna as I return to the group and the shaman went to her tribe
"So Luna this is a pretty big victory we have a steady stream of resources and all we have to do now is conquer the rest of the bandit clans to have a sizable army then we increase our own territory size of our village so then I will need you to teach me what's the traditions rights and anything I could use to increase our territory"
Luna looks confused for a little bit but then she nodded
"What do you mean our territory Jack?"
I smiled at her gently
"Well I thought it would be obvious what I meant by our after all when all is said and done you will be my queen isn't that what we planned?"
Her face was bright red as soon as I spoke those words I guess she forgot what we planned in secret but lucky enough for me I never forget anything but now here comes the real issue now that we have a place to gather resources at and our next move will be the takeover of the rest of the bandit clans on this border to give us better trained fighters then trying to expand our land as legitimately and quietly as possible this will take very detailed and careful planning
