Capítulo 26: Hospital
Yone was in a hospital bed resting while his children came to see him. He looked better than before thanks to everyone caring for him.
He sees his children crying as Yone petted their heads with a fake smile that they didn't notice because they thought he would die as well when Mito told them about his situation.
"Don't scare us like that we already lost two people we don't need you to die as well," says Kushina as she was quite crying the hardest it seemed.
"Don't worry, I won't die that fast. I still need to see you all grow up before I can meet with your mother again without feeling ashamed," says Yone as he put his finger against Kushina's cheek catching her tears.
"I hope you are serious or I will haunt you once I follow you," says Kushina as Yone hits her lightly.
"Don't say that," says Yone sounding a bit angry that Kushina would say that.
"Also who is the little girl beside you?" asks Yone seeing a black-haired young girl that had most likely 4 years old beside the children.
"She is Shizune. Uncle Dan was her uncle as well," says Hana simplifying everything as she really didn't care about Shizune not being a family member by blood like all it seemed.
"Hello," says Shizune nervous as she suddenly sees Yone's hand coming for her.
She closed her eyes thinking something terrible would happen because of the stories she heard about Yone and the deeds he did in the war when suddenly she felt a hand patting her head.
"Welcome to the family. I didn't know Dan had a niece," says Yone looking at Tsunade and Haru who were with the children there.
"She is the daughter of Dan's sister. She died in the war the same day Mikoto died," says Tsunade as Yone felt sad hearing that.
"Well at least she still has family that can look after her," says Yone as Tsunade and Haru weren't surprised to hear that since Yone already had four adopted children even if only three were officially adopted and one wasn't.
He raised his hand from Shizune's head and says, "Once I'm out of here I will be most likely a stay-at-home dad."
"Really?" asks Haru surprised as she wasn't the only one surprised by Yone's decision.
"Yes unless the Hokage needs help with something I will most likely only do a mission once a month and spend the rest of the month with my children.
It was time to leave for the children as the group left when a friend of Yone entered the room and Yone says, "Welcome Sakumo."
"Are you doing well?" asks Sakumo as Yone nods.
"Yes, I don't really feel weak but they won't discharge me from the hospital until Mito and the Hokage gave the order to let me leave," says Yone as he didn't care about being chained to a bed.
He felt quite comfortable not being able to do anything and even if he needed to escape he could do so easily.
"How is your family doing?" asks Yone as Sakumo sits down.
"Both are doing fine. My wife is quite lively with little Kakashi. They met up with your children once in a while so Kakashi makes some friends before he gets into the academy," says Sakumo as Yone sighs.
"Was it really dumb from me going around and destroying everything?" asks Yone as Sakumo shakes his head.
"Not really but what you told Tsunade was a bit harsh back then in the tent. She lost her husband to Suna not even two days ago when you returned and said that to her," says Sakumo as Yone sighs again.
"I was fixed on revenge that I forget everyone around me. I even almost self-destroyed myself blind in revenge," says Yone as felt he needed to apologize to Tsunade once he was out of the hospital.
"Good to hear that you are almost back to normal. It was worrisome to see you on the path you were heading to," says Sakumo as Yone just looked at the ceiling.
"Anyway the war is over and Konoha's front has shifted hasn't it?" asks Yone as Sakumo nods.
"Yes, but I think the Hokage will sell the land back to Tsuchi and Kaze because it's hard enough to defend Hi with our forces alone," says Sakumo as Yone smiled.
"You be there when I bury my wife?" asks Yone as Sakumo nods.
"We will be there," says Sakumo as he looked at the clock and says, "I will be leaving or my wife will hold me accountable for being late."
"Good Night Sakumo," says Yone as Sakumo leaves.
It took two full months before Yone was released from the hospital when Hiruzen hands Yone a case with tinted contacts to hide his Sharingan behind them.
He took his first steps again as he says, "Can we bury both right away."
"We can but you should rest. Tsunade will look after you until you are back at normal strength," says Hiruzen since Tsunade had more time to recover than Yone.
"No, she needs to overcome her fear of blood," says Yone as Hiruzen smiles from hearing Yone worry about her.
"Sometimes it needs two people that are broken to piece each other together again. You both lost your loved ones and both had a different reaction to it. Maybe it will help her overcome her fear of blood," says Hiruzen as Yone was confused.
"I will see what I can do to help her overcome this," says Yone as he returned home accompanied by Hiruzen and two Anbus.
Once there his six children were relieved that he was back as they hugged him. Yone picked Hori up since he was the youngest of his children and says, "I missed to be able to do this."
"How is grandma doing?" asks Yone as Haru was looking over the children.
"She is looking over Tsunade. She had a relapse after I cut my finger while cooking," says Haru as she showed the bandage over her finger.
"It seems we will have to be more careful from now on," says Yone as he needed to adapt to being at home again.
"Hana and Hina, I need you to follow me for a moment before you can join your siblings again," says Yone as he petted the head of Yahiko.
Both nod as they followed their father into Yone's former room with Hiruzen. Once inside Hiruzen says to his Anbu that what was going to happen was an S-Rank secret as Yone began to seal the One-Tail in Hana, the Four-Tail in Hori, and the Five-Tail in Hina.
When he finished he sent Hori and Hina out while he put his head against Hana and talked with Shukaku to find out the name of the monk.
"Bunpuku, that is the name of the monk. Hana, you can return to the others," says Yone after petting her head.
She left the room happy ignoring everyone else as she went to where her siblings were while Hiruzen says, "Are you sure it is the right thing to do by sealing the tailed beasts inside them."
"They will learn with time how to use them and they don't possess the same amount of Chakra that I have and this can make them a bit stronger," says Yone as they leave the room.
Yone wanted to see how Tsunade was while Hiruzen left with his Anbus. He entered Tsunade's room finding Mito looking after her when Yone asks, "Is she alright?"
"Her trauma is getting worse over the last few days. Haru had a small cut on her finger and your sister collapsed. Nawaki is doing a mission right now with the other Shinobis securing the corpses of Konoha Shinobis," says Mito as she was exhausted from worrying over her grandchildren.
"How about I look after her for a while and you rest a bit grandma," says Yone as he sat down beside Mito.
He petted Tsunade's head and Tsunade seemed to calm down again when Mito says, "Your petting always calms her down. I tried it before but it didn't work."
"It's because I have always done this to calm her or praise her," says Yone as Mito sighs.
"I still don't know why you two never married," says Mito as Yone smiled.
"Because she had Dan and I had Mikoto. I'm quite happy that I married Mikoto or I wouldn't have seven beautiful children," says Yone as his happy smile left his face turning into a sad one instead.
Suddenly a hand was holding his head as Tsunade seemed to sleep normally making Mito says, "She still seems attached to you."
"Grandma! Mikoto isn't even in the ground and you are-" says Yone angry as Mito understood that for Yone the scar was still fresh.
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said it," says Mito as Yone calmed down.
"*sighs* I'm sorry as well. I shouldn't have raised my voice. I need time to get over Mikoto. After that, we can talk about it again but until then no word alright," days Yone as he looked at Mito.
"I will have to sleep here tonight since she won't let go until tomorrow morning," says Yone knowing that as he slept like this before when he was seven and his father returned heavily wounded from the First Shinobi World War.
"I will tell Haru to bring one of the guest's beds so you can sleep comfortably," says Mito as Yone nods not able to leave as Tsunade was holding his hand with both of her not letting go of it.
'When we were younger we used to sleep in the same bed when this happened because we could fit without a problem,' think Yone as he laid down on the ground beside Tsunade who was sleeping in her bed a bit over him.
The next morning Tsunade wakes up holding a hand with her two hands as she followed the arm finding Yone attached to it sleeping beside her on the ground making her feel happy seeing her brother still carrying for her.
She put Yone's hand against her cheek before she let it go as she stands up and leaves the room. Yone opens his eyes and sighs, "I will ignore what happened right now."
