Capítulo 29: Chapter 28. Doubt
Adiya's POV
Pyrrhos is right all along when he said that it's not just me that the council's going to observed. Mom and Dad are being monitored 24/7, I am being watched all day long and Zephy as well. I don't have a clue about what was going on anymore and just when I thought that everything is going worse than ever, but then, the worst is yet to come.
"Adiya, anong sabi ni tito at tita tungkol sa sitwasyon niyo?" bulong ni Zephy sa kalagitnaan ng klase.
"They can't do anything at the moment since they are being monitored. Baka daw kasi paghinalaan sila ng council, but Dad said we should trust the council because they can handle the situation" sagot ko rin sakanya. Magkatabi kami ni Zephy ng upuan so writing notes to each other isn't a choice. Ang problema lang ay baka marinig kami ng teacher namin.
"Then why do you seemed worried than before? Don't you trust the council?" tanong pa niya. Napaisip ako sa tanong niya. In this kind of situation, I don't know who to trust anymore.
"I don't know, but if my parents said to trust them then, I think I should give them the benefit of the doubt" sagot ko nalang, ngunit.
"But why do I sensed something behind those words? Like it's hanging?" Zephy really does know me well enough. Napangiti nalang ako. We really are best friends.
"But that doesn't mean that I won't be investigating by myself. I trust them, that doesn't mean I believe them" I said.
"You'll get yourself into trouble again and I'm sure your parents wouldn't like what's going on that head of yours right now" ani Zephy.
"They don't have to know" because I won't tell them.
"What? You're not gonna tell them?" hindi makapaniwalang sabi ni Zephy.
"Ms. King and Ms. West, you're in the middle of the class so shut that fucking mouth of your's" hindi kami nakapagsalita ng pagsabihan kami ng aming guro. Pagkatapos noon ay hindi na kami umimik at pinagpatuloy nalang namin ang pakikinig.

"Wag mong sabihing pati sa restroom ay sinusundan kayo ng mga bodyguards niyo?" Elle asks humorously. I saw Zephy rolled her eyes at what she said.
"They're not our bodyguards Elle. They're actually investigators, and there's a difference about what they do, okay?" sagot ko kay Elle. Narito kami ngayon sa cafe ng eskwelahan. It's already lunchtime at kasama namin ni Zephy ang magkapatid na Elgorth at Elle.
"So, what are you gonna do? Are you ready for the quest? It's only a matter of weeks before the quest starts" ani Elgorth. Sa totoo lang hindi ko rin alam kung anong gagawin ko, not to mention things are getting way out of hand.
"I don't know. I have to resolve this before the quest" sagot ko kay Elgorth.
"I? You're planning to solve everything by yourself?" biglang tumaas ang boses ni Elgorth dahil sa sinabi ko.
"I have to. I can't afford anyone to get hurt" sagot ko sakanya. I know that they are worried about me but I need to do this because somehow I feel like everything that happened and was about to happen is my fault.
"Do you think you can do it alone? Get over yourself. Last time I check you nearly died back then" rinig kong sabi ni Aella habang naglalakad palapit sa pwesto namin.
"What are you doing here?" naiinis na saad ni Zephy. Zephy couldn't still get over the fact that Aella nearly killed me not once but twice. She's not convince that she was possessed that time because she knows that Aella once tried to kill me but I told her that all of it was just an accident.
"Nothing. I just heard your conversation and apparently I am involved with the incident" she said a matter of factly.
"Show off" I heard Zephy whisper while rolling her eyes. Sinipa ko siya sa paa sa ilalim ng mesa. She eyed me at what I did.
"Shut it" saway ko sakanya. She gave me a whatever look before tearing her gaze away from me.
"I just don't want anyone to get involve anymore" sagot ko sa sinabi niya kanina.
"Excuse me? Everyone is already involve because our nation is already a mess" maarte niyang sabi saka umupo sa bakanteng upuan.
"Why are you here anyway? I doubt that you're here to help. I think you're just here to piss the hell out of us" Elle snapped at her. Elle and Aella is I think beyond from becoming close.
"Don't be full of yourselves. I'm not here to piss you I am just here to..." she trailed before continuing her answer.
"talk" she continued.
"Yeah, right. Whatever. Talk my ass" sabat naman ni Zephy. Zephy and Ella agrees ato each other when it comes to pissing Aella off.
" Woah, why are you both so grumpy?" Aella taunted.
"Guys stop!" saway ko sakanila bago pa mapunta sa kung saan ang usapan nila at mabuti naman ay tumahimik rin sila. Natahimik ang buong paligid ng ilang minuto hanggang sa magsasalita na sana ako ngunit napahinto ako ng dahil sa isang tinig.
"Adiya" a voice behind me said. Nang lumingon ako ay nakita ko si Pyrrhos at ang kanyang mga kaibigan na naglalakad palapit sa kinauupuan namin. Napatayo ako ng wala sa oras.
"What do you need?" I am still pissed at him because of what happened last time and I know that he senses some disdain with my voice by the expression he makes.
"You're training will start tomorrow, again" yun lang ang sinabi niya saka naglakad na paalis. Wait, what?
"What training?" pahabol kong tanong sakanya ngunit hindi man lang siya nag abalang sagutin ako at nagpatuloy sa paglalakad na parang wala siyang narinig.
"Jerk" bulong ko sa sarili ko. I heard someone laugh in front of me at nakita kong hindi pa umaalis ang mga kaibigan ni Pyrrhos.
"Still remember your last training?" rinig kong tanong ni Trevet. Napatingin ako sakanya.
"You have to do your best twice as that. Malapit na ang quest" sagot niya. Shivers sent down my spine when he said last training because the last training that I had with him nearly killed me.
"You really don't expect Adiya to do that training with him again, did you?" Zephy asked while emphasizing the word him.
"It's just a training Zephy" sagot ni Storm sakanya. Nakita kong tumalim ang tingin ni Zephy kay Storm. There's really something wrong with these two.
"Just a training? She almost died Storm and you expect me to believe that it will be just some sort of training? Alam mo hindi ko maintindihan yang kaibigan niyo eh, gusto atang patayin si Adiya" hindi maiwasang magtaas ni Zephy ng boses. Hinawakan ko si Zephy sa braso para pakalmahin siya.
" Zephy" banggit ko sa pangalan niya.
"No Adiya. They need to know, everyone needs to know what that jerk did to you at ikaw wag mong kukunsintihin iyang kaibigan mo" sabi niya saka dinuro si Storm.
"Chill Zephy. Bat sa akin ka nagagalit? You should be angry at Pyrrhos, not me. O baka naman may ibang ibig sabihin yang galit mo sa akin" Storm said jokingly.
"Is this about what happened back then?" napakunot noo ako ng biglang nag ibi ang tono ng pananalita niya at ekspresyon sa mukha niya. He's serious right now. Guys and their mood swings.
"What happened there stays there. It's just my mistake for falling---" hindi tinuloy ni Zephy ang kanyang sinabi. Instead she looks at Storm with wide eyes before storming out of the cafe, leaving us confious and Storm going after her. Okay? Did we just hear Zephy's confession?
