Capítulo 30: Risqué

As the woman led Histoire to the receptionist's desk, she suddenly noticed how tense she was. The strands underneath her wig had stolen so much of her attention that she failed to notice how heavily Histoire breathed. It was as though she was having an asthma attack. Her face was flushed and she walked weakly; the woman was sure she would drop at any moment.

She wasn't alone with this discovery. Everyone else thought the same, and were on edge, waiting for something they anticipated to finally happen. As Histoire filled out the visitors' form with trembling hands, the woman wondered why Histoire wanted - at this point it was basically needed - to see Deus. She had a feint idea that Histoire was another one of his mistresses but it seemed highly unlikely. One could only imagine the problems that situation would evoke. This was definitely an emergency of some sort.
