CHAPTER 378

Xander could not argue with that logic. Jade Nova Frost was both his strength and his weakness, and he knew that fact deep down.

However, he could not argue with the constant nagging in his heart whenever he saw her in danger or had any danger lurking. 

He loved her.

She was his doom, his salvation, and his everything. How then could he lift her up, ensure her safety at all times, and not risk what happened a thousand years ago with the Dragon King and the last Phoenix?

"Xander?" Lord Sachiel's voice broke him out of his train of thought.

"Yes, Lord Sachiel?"

"Now stop thinking too much and go..."

"Phew, what a day!"

"I am glad that it is finally over."

"Zale Anders is gone for good."

Both Lord Sachiel and Xander's ears perked up at the sound of the familiar voices making their way towards them.
