Capítulo 70: Crow's return VI ( A frontal assault)
"Are you guys OK??"
Yakob asks after Sai and Ilara are standing properly.
"Yeah kinda but right now Dan is the one who needs help the most."
Ilara says pointing a finger to Dan who laid unconscious on the ground.
"What happened to him??"
Mae asks crouching and placing a finger on his neck.
"He fainted after saving us from the first meteor Crow threw at us."
Sai responds tightening his fist as he did so.
"I'm sorry we couldn't get here sooner and you guys had to battle him all alone but we are here now so you can rest easy."
Yakob assures with a hand to Sai's shoulder.
"Thank you for coming to our aid."
Ilara says with Mae calming her nerves with a smile.
"Urghh why can't you just accept your fates and die already, why did you have to interfere in matters that don't concern you??"
Crow asks with his attention fixated on Yakob and Mae.
"I should be asking you what you are doing here, you really have the nerve to come into this island when you have been blacklisted by the D.O.D."
Yakob replies as he turns to face Crow.
"So on top of all the crimes you've committed you decided to attack individuals participating in our prestigious exams, you really have some nerve, Crow."
Mae walks to stand beside Yakob as she begins to work strings in her hand readying for an encounter with the one above.
"Sai, Ilara, both of you take Dan and flee this place, we'll take care of this."
Yakob says with Sai and Ilara taking hold of Dan and attempt to lift him.
"Oh no you don't… Chōkyori hanpatsu ( Long range repulse)."
Crow yells as he faces his palm towards the group and releases a powerful long range repulsive force.
"Tch…Chēnmeiruburokku (Chain mail block)."
Mae yells out at about the same time Crow let's out his attack creating a chain like net to block the move with both attacks meeting the middle and dissipating with a minor shock wave occurring.
"I'm going in, give me back up."
Yakob says as he leaps into the air towards Crow.
"A frontal assault??... You really do have a death wish, Watashi kara shuppatsu ( depart from me)."
Crow tries to blast Yakob away but before he can do so Yakob moves sideways avoiding the blast entirely with Crow watching wide eyed and confused at how Yakob was able to change directions mid air so easily and swiftly as well. Yakob stood atop a tree with his sights on Crow, Mae was still standing battle ready with Sai and Ilara watching in awe from behind as they also wondered what was going on.
Capítulo 71: Crow vs Yakob
"Both of you should leave with your unconscious friend over there before this battle gets intense."
Mae says.
"Even if we tried to run away, we are too injured to go very far and add that up with carrying Dan as well, I don't think we would be able to get very far if the battle does get intense."
Ilara replies weakly.
"Damn it, so we're gonna have to be on both defense and offense, huh.. This is tiring."
Mae remarks with Crow and Yakob still staring down each other.
"How did he do that??.... He seems to be a weaponmaster so how did he change directions midair without doing anything, does it have anything to do with the lady below."
Several thoughts run through Crow's mind as he tries to understand what had happened.
"I shouldn't give him much space to figure out what's going on, I should use this opportunity to gain the upper hand but then if his reflexes are as fast as that, getting close to him might be tricky."
Yakob thinks to himself as he crouches on the tree top he had landed on and makes to leap again.
"Here he comes."
Crow readies himself with Yakob leaping towards him again.
"That's not gonna work on me."
Crow let's out a repulsive force towards him with Yakob moving out of the way again and landing on another tree.
"Let's see if you can handle fast."
Yakob remarks as he begins to move rapidly around Crow.
"The hell…."
Crow exclaims as he tries to keep up with Yakob's increased movement which was bordering on hypersonic, he releases wave after wave of repulsive forces to stop Yakob but they don't seem to be making impact at all as the rapid movement continues non stop, Soon enough Yakob leaps and lands the first blow square on Crow's cheek which destabilizes Crow and leaves him stunned for a few seconds after which Yakob takes advantage of the situation and lands multiple hits on Crow but before he can send Crow crashing to the Earth, the latter regains a little of himself and let's out a shout with an omni directional blast hitting Yakob and sending him back flying into a couple of trees.
"Yakob!!!"
Mae calls out with worried looks on the faces of Sai and Ilara.
"We should help."
Sai remarks trying to get up.
"Stay back, you getting involved would only serve as an interference to us."
Mae orders with Sai sitting back to the ground, Ilara taps his shoulder and nods her head putting Sai at ease. Yakob stands up from where he had crashed and adjusted his shoulder.
"That was unexpected."
Yakob stands to his feet with Mae calling out to him.
"Yakob, are you all right??"
"Yeah, he just caught me off with that stunt."
Yakob replies adjusting his stance.
