Capítulo 68: Crow's return IV ( Apocalyptic Attraction)
"Why won't you just accept your fates and die by my hands, why try to deny the inevitable when there is no hope of actually pulling it off."
"Cause we weren't made to give up so easily no matter how hopeless the situation is, especially in this situation where our lives are at stake so you can say that we are just trying to survive this not out of a convoluted ideology of never giving up but out of a desire to live on and fulfill our deepest desires."
Sai replies as he tries to stand on his own but is unable to.
"Tch, whatever the reason for trying to fight back against me, it was fun while it lasted but this is the end of the line."
Crow puts his palms together and let's out a deep sigh, the trio readies themselves for Crow's attack but what happens next is quite unexpected as the earth beneath them grins to quake in quite a violent manner with cracks beginning to show.
"What is this??"
Ilara struggles to stable herself as well as Sai with the violent quaking making it difficult to stay still.
"Shūmatsu-ron-tekina-miryoku ( Apocalyptic Attraction)."
Crow says in a deep voice as he opens his palms and the earth below begins to crack open and ascend to form into a large spherical meteor with a size of eighty four square feet floating just above Crow.
"What the hell is this??"
Dan stares in awe at the meteor with Ilara and Sai wide eyed.
"Let me see you counter this."
Crow remarks proudly as he let's the meteor loose and it begins to free fall to the ground with the team at the middle of its impact range.
"Die."
Sai and Ilara are completely frozen as they are rendered helpless and speechless by the incoming meteor.
"Get down."
Dan yells as he pushes Sai and Ilara to the ground before then slamming his right hand into the earth.
"Saru no tsue ga ōkiku – natta ( Monkey staff enlarged)."
A large staff appears from underneath the earth and shoots towards the incoming meteor making contact at a few hundred meters from the ground and piercing through its middle and expanding even further, immediately shattering the meteor in a loud explosion with its remains falling all around the trio cashing more damage to the surrounding area, Sai and Ilara look up to see the pole standing straight facing Crow whom just looked on unfazed at what Dan had done.
"Dan, are you OK??"
Ilara asks with Dan heaving heavily.
"Yeah, of course..."
Dan trails off as he falls to the ground unconscious from the immense strain the summoned pole had put on him, the enlarged staff begins to dissipate with Sai and Ilara trying to get Dan conscious again.
Capítulo 69: Crow's return V ( Arrival of Yakob and Mae )
"Dan wake up, this is the worst time to be unconscious."
Ilara says as she tries to wake Dan up.
"Turn him over."
Sai says as they both turn Dan over.
"He's out cold."
Sai removes his fingers from Dan's neck.
"Pathetic, and I thought he was actually an impressive variant, tch."
Crow mocks as he slams his palms together again.
"Gaze on my power as you are crushed to death... Shūmatsu-ron-tekina-miryoku ( Apocalyptic Attraction)."
This time two super sized meteors are formed with Crow intent on making sure none of the trio survived this second attack.
"I'm sorry."
Sai says after looking up at the meteors being formed and hanging his head down in shame.
"Why are you apologizing??"
Ilara asks still gazing at the meteor and thinking up ways to escape with no success of course.
"Cause I realize now that I'm too weak to protect you, if only I were stronger I would have been able to do much more but I'm utterly useless, I wish I had trained more."
Sai says giving up hope that they could be saved.
"This is not the time for that, we need to figure out a way to survive this, I don't plan on letting any of us die here so I don't want you losing hope on me, anyways you are not useless, you've done well, if anyone is to be called weak amongst us it's me but I don't let that stop me so your lack of strength right now should give you the incentive you need to get stronger, so don't you dare give up on me now."
Ilara grabs Sai and looks him in the eye which strangely puts Sai at ease.
"You're right, I'm sorry I lost my cool for a moment there, we need to figure out a way out of this."
"If you all are done giving each other false hope, I'd love to end this little meeting before anyone comes in to interfere."
Crow says letting the meteors go into free fall as they began to descend rapidly towards the surface, Sai and Ilara hold hands and bend their heads down over Dan's unconscious body with Crow smirking at their pathetic attempt to protect themselves.
"Ōkibona nettingu ( extensive netting)."
"Fu~yūrī no ken ( Fury's fist )."
A high pitched voice as well as a masculine voice with deep tone is heard after which one meteor is sliced into innumerable pieces and the other explodes at the impact of an invisible force on its surface, Crow stares wide eyed wondering what had caused his meteors to blow up but it doesn't take long before he gets his answer as two figures jump out from the thick forest and land in front of the trio, Sai and Ilara look up to lay eyes on Yakob and Mae standing in front of them with Mae extending a hand to Ilara with Yakob doing same for Sai.
