Capítulo 24: Dorm

Exiting the room while holding the crest happily, Luke immediately got questioned by Amon, who was waiting impatiently, "What Rank did you get?"

Luke shoved his crest directly in front of Amon's face and said proudly, "Hehe, my ability got classified as E Rank ability."

Amon's eyes twitched upon hearing a tone of pride within Luke's voice, "What the hell are you proud of, then?"

Luke sheepishly smiled, "I proud of me getting admitted at Lark Special Academy."

"Hahaha, you sure are really innocent junior brother." The woman who led Luke previously chuckled from the side.

"Why don't you congratulate him, Tien?" Amon nudged another boy who escorted Luke from the gate with his elbow.

"Not interested. He's also only had an E ability. Why bother to congratulate another possible tra-" Before Tien managed to finish his sentence, Amon from the side quickly stomped his foot upon Tian foot.

"Ow...What the fuck are you doing?" Tian glared at Amon.

"Ssshhh..." Amon pointed his finger on his own lips, signalling Tien to shut up.

Amon then sneaks a peek at Luke, but the latter was so immersed in his new badge. Amon let out a sigh of relief. It looks like this junior brother of him didn't hear Tien's harsh words.

Actually, Luke heard all of it. But he chooses not to care since his mind is already preoccupied with the insignia on his palm.

"Well, since we got no business here anymore, Let's go pick up your new uniform." The lady clapped her hand to gather the attention.

Luke nodded obediently, whereas the other two boys had no choice but to escort Luke until the escorting task finished.

The lady led Luke trio into the initial place where the spacious desk present. Then she brought the trio to another corridor, located on the left side of the desk.

After walking for around ten seconds, they arrived in front of the room with a metal plate above. It stated, "Necessities for a New Students."

As the same as before, the lady placed her insignia above the identification system before the door able to open automatically.

Entering the room, a spacious white room with many wardrobes revealed into Luke's view.

"Pick a uniform who is suitable for your size. We won't be responsible if later you found out that the uniform was too big or too small for you." The woman said seriously.

Luke nodded and began to search for a uniform that got the same size as him. The uniform was purely white in color except for a red stripe that outlines the edge of it. If Luke were inspecting it more carefully, he would notice that this uniform has the same color as the woman clothes he met yesterday.

But since his mind was in a mess that day because of too much FP spend, It's possible that Luke didn't remember the woman uniform, even more her face.

After choosing the uniform and pants carefully, Luke went back to the lady and said, "I'm done. What's next?"

She nodded her head and said, "Let's go then."

They returned to the front door entrance, and the lady immediately spoke out, "My job is done. For the next, you will still be escorted by these two guys, hehe. Anyway, congratulations, junior brother. I hope you will like this place."

Luke nodded his head thankfully and said sincerely, "Thank you."

Without dilly dally, Luke being led once again toward his next destination. This time, he was being led to the deeper area where a six-storey building stood.

"Am I going to live here?" Luke said in disbelief.

"Yes, you're going to live here. Of course, it's a dormitory where you need to share one room with most four people." Amon stated.

Luke nodded his head without saying anything.

"The first floor was for a Rank F ability wielder. While the second floor is for a Rank E, the third floor is for Rank D, and so on."

"The higher the floor is, the much privilege you would get. For example, on the first floor where F Ranker stayed, they didn't provide an air conditioner. And on the second floor, the school would provide the air conditioner."

"Isn't that unfair?" Luke from the side couldn't help but complain.

"Haha, that's what we called the so hierarchy. And to be precise, they were not entirely unfair. The reason school did this was to make the low-rank envious and make them train harder in the hope their ability would improve." Amon narrated as he entered the front lobby.

After thinking Amon words for a while, Luke couldn't help but nod his head in approval. Though this kind of treatment looks discriminatory from the outside, it's no doubt it's the best method to make the low-ranker hone their ability harder. They would definitely felt inferior and envious in the faces of high-ranker. From it would emerge a seed of determination to surpass the high-ranker.

'Lark Special Academy, really cunning' Luke shook his head inwardly.

"Why the lobby looks so quiet?" Luke asked confusedly. The lobby of the dorm was designed like a five-star hotel lobby. Even so, it looks so deserted with only a few person presences.

"It's because it's still daytime. At these hours, people would tend to go out to search for his soulmate or began training."

"What? Is there no lesson time or whatever?" Luke burst out in shock. If people can go and left as he pleased, then why would they call this place academy?

"Hey, I know what you've been thinking. Of course, such a lesson time existed, but only some people who would probably attend it. The lesson mostly consisted of theory and history of potions, Joyn Race, Notorn race, etc. It was all boring for most people."

Before Luke starts to ask another question, Amon continued, "Well, not all the lessons were useless. There's also a battle class in which we would partake in battle with each other in the same rank. But this world doesn't lack any brave people. So, in the battle class, there are some people who dare to challenge other people who had a higher rank than them."

"I'm also once challenged, but I won them easily, regardless." Amon proudly declared.

"What rank are you on, senior Amon?" Luke asked curiously. Being positioned as a person who guarded the front gate, Amon must be highly skilled.

"Heh, don't be surprised. Although I only older than you by probably 2 years, I already reached Transcender Eight Rank, with an A ability." With both his hands on the hips, Amon began to show off his achievement.

"Wow..." Luke clapped in admiration.

"Anyway, you can search for a suitable class for you at that billboard." Amon pointed at the hologram billboard showing date, time, place, and lesson.

'Oh? A battle class at 3 p.m?' Luke checked his watch and noticed it's only 2 p.m. now. Without a doubt, he still got time to attend its lesson. Luke looked at Amon and said impatiently, "Come on, big brother Amon. I also wanted to attend the battle class."

"Oh? Did you want to try it? That's quite a spirit. Let's go to your room then. We couldn't afford to be late on such occasions." Amon then turned to Tien and said, "You can go back to your post, Tien. I can manage him by myself."

Tien shook his head, "It's okay. I also want to see by my own eyes what could an E rank ability wielder can do."

Amon shook his head, "Tch, you still as same as before. Always held a grudge against an F rank wielder. It's not good to hold a grudge for a long time, you know."

Tien nodded his head but didn't acknowledge Amon's words much.
