"You guys surely have heard about the inter-provincial race that will be held soon," Coach Henri folded his hands across his back. "I will choose Dylan and Gabby to represent our school,"

How could Coach Henri choose the new kid to take part in the inter-province competition?

Almost all of the members turned and saw Cindy's face. From year to year, the girl had always been chosen to take part in big competitions. But why didn't Coach Henri choose her this time?

Why did it have to be Gabby? Why not her?

"Sorry sir, but why must Gabby represent our school? Is she really good enough to take part in the inter-province competition?" Cindy's friend asked.

"Yes, why does it have to be her?" Another girl nodded her head. "Gabby just joined our team, she hasn't been trained long enough like Cindy. What if Gabby taints the good name of our team and school?"

"I never thought you would abandon Cindy!"
