Emily moved through the empty hallway on the seventh floor of the East Tower where her evening classes were supposed to take place.

It had been a week since her eighteenth birthday and the painful incident when she found out that even though her body was that of a normal mortal, her soul was way powerful than any supernatural that had ever existed on the planet.

She still had not opened the box that Shadow gave her that day. She was afraid of finding out the truth about her real identity. She was afraid of the secrets that were trapped inside that box and her heart was too coward to open the box and face those secrets.
