Capítulo 22: CHAPTER 15 - BATTLE AT THE FALLEN CITY (3)
In the fog of the war, the Fallen City is filled with shipgirls from various factions. They 're all fighting each other. Different opinions can lead to war, and become a legend for themselves.
Kay watches them for a distant sight, along with a little green cat. He 's completely forgotten about her, and he's got to take care of her. Since there's nobody to watch her.
"Alright, I guess the outcome is better than I expected", said Kay. "The reinforcements will reach in several hours. Although, I pretty sure they will came here as soon as possible since I already change the plan without telling them".
Kay looks at the outside of the Fallen City. Most of the Sakura Empire shipgirls are stay outside of this city. Only Ise, Hyuuga, Ayanami, Takao and Atago are getting inside this city.
Prinz Eugen, Admiral Hipper, Z23, Z1 and Koln from the Ironblood are fighting with Azur Lane. Five vs ten inside Fallen City and two against all the force outside there.
Mr. Eagle lands on Kay 's shoulder, taking some rest.
"Tell Essex and Shangri-La not to wander far outside," Kay said. "These sirens are useless to them. After all, they will be unable to help Crimson Axis defeat us".
Mr. Eagle moves and flies to Essex and Shangri-La to deliver the message as soon as possible.
The sirens cannot enter the Fallen City because they are still ships, unlike the girls. Furthermore, they can not launch their attack here because of a friendly fire. Crimson Axis can not afford to use this method because it is very risky to them.
"However..."
Kay activates his element on and steps his foot. Create a lightning shock wave that disturbs the planes that come to him. The aircraft lost control and collided with each other. Loud explosions can be heard as aircraft that have already been affected by Kay.
"I thought that Essex and Shangri-La had already destroyed most of their aircraft carriers," Kay said. "Have they received backups or reinforcements? ".
Kay looks at his back after realizing someone touching and messing with the sword. Then, he saw Akashi is the one who touching the sword. He grabs Akashi and hold her like a child.
"Alright, green cat. Take this gems and go away.....I mean stay here and behave yourself", said Kay as he puts Akashi down and gave her some gems.
"Akashi names is not green cat!", said Akashi. "Akashi name is Akashi".
Akash still was taking the gems that Kay had given her. You can see that her eyes shone beautifully as she saw and held the gems.
"Why are you still looking at me, Akashi? ", asked Kay. "Is there something wrong? ".
Akashi is staring at Kay and wondering who he is. She still looks at the sword he's still carrying. The sword seems familiar to her, as she's always seen in the Sakura Empire.
She prefers to stay silent, though, because she doesn't want to make any problems for him.

Takao, Ayanami and Atago are roaming around the Fallen City. The city was already ruined and a number of buildings have already been destroyed.
Words said that the city had been ravaged by the sirens. oEven though it's still a mystery to them either when or how for them to answer it.
This is a very dangerous place, though, as it is a fitting place for an ambush. They remain concentrated, as they are now in unfamiliar territory.
"Please be careful, everyone," Takao said. "They 're probably hiding here. So , we've needed to stay alert.
"We 're certainly stunned," Atago said. "I never thought that they would be able to launch an assault in this heavy fog with low visibility".
The thick fog is covered by the Fallen City, making it very difficult to see. Not to mention, attacking them is also a lot of hassle.
"We already lost our air supremacy thanks to their attacks against us", said Takao. "And, we also cannot used these sirens to help us for this battle. What is Kaga thinking?".
"I don't know, desu", said Ayanami. "But, we should focus ahead, desu".
As they observed themselves, they unexpectedly heard a loud voice that seemed very angry. It was Hyuuga.
"Come here, you little maid!!", shouted Hyuuga. "Come and face me, you coward!!".
Hyuuga is chasing Sheffield as she tries to run away from her. It looks liked Sheffield tries to bring her somewhere else.
"Why are you running?", shouted Ise. She also follows Hyuuga to chase Sheffield.
Atago, Takao and Ayanami are pulling their swords to get ready to battle the Azur Lane. They know that the opponent is really near and ready to attack them.
They 're beginning to follow Hyuuga and Ise, only to get the attack from behind them. It was Cleveland. She fights them with her guns. The assault is too fast to render, making them impossible of order to avoid it in time.
However, the damage is far from severe and can still be tackled. Takao, Atago and Ayanami are prepared to attack Cleveland.
As they attempt to attack her, Cleveland disappears from their sight, leaving them stunned and confused. The fog is really dense, making it hard to see Cleveland.
"Watch out, everyone! "Takao shouted. "She's still here."
They 're watching their surroundings to find Cleveland. They 're all really concentrated. They can't let the guard down. They can't put the humiliation of the Sakura Empire.
"Here she is!! "After seeing someone who seems to be coming towards them, Takao shouted. Takao doesn't want to lose this opportunity and she's trying to strike her.
Cleveland manages to block it as Takao attempts to attack her, just a mere seconds. The assault, however, does not end there. Montpelier, who is unexpectedly turning up behind Cleveland, is aiming her weapon and targeting Takao.
"Annoying! Disappear!", said Montpelier while attacking Takao.
Boom.....Booom....
"Takao-chan!!!", screamed Atago. She watching her sister get hit in close range.
Her attack makes Takao fly in the direction of Ayanami and Atago. They've been trying to catch her after seeing her flying. When they catch her, their faces turn pale as Takao is seriously injured. After all, she's got a direct attack from Montpelier.
Cleveland launches a number of barrages against them, intended to force them to retreat.
Boommm....
Boommm..
Her attacks have been missing since they managed to avoid it in time. They 're trying to counter, but seeing that Takao is seriously injured is changing their minds.
They can not risk the outcome of their teammate. They 're choosing to withdraw.
"I 'm sorry, Ayanami," Atago said. "But we have to retreat. Takao is seriously wounded".
"I understand, desu," Ayanami said. "Bring Takao with you, please. I'm going to watch your back, desu".
Atago is holding Takao and getting away from here as fast as she can. In the meantime, Ayanami is ready to attack Cleveland and Montpelier. She needs to give Atago some time to get away.
But Ayanami is very shocked and puzzled after Cleveland and Montpelier decide not to attack them. They 're just letting them go easily. Ayanami follows Atago and leaves the place.
"Are you sure you're going to leave them, aniki? "Montpelier asked. "We could still attack them."
"Let them be, Montpelier," Cleveland said. "We need to follow the order of our commander."
"But, if we're Enterprise. She certainly won't let this chance slip away that easily", Montpelier said.
Cleveland looks at her sister and touches her sister's cheek.
"We 're the one who chose to do what we want, Montpelier," Cleveland said. "Now, hang on to your hope and be proud of it."
They are busy talking with each other, trying to remind their pride and command from two different leader. Both of them, probably want the same outcome. Yet, choosing different method and approach.
They do not realize someone is watching them and ready to strike them.

Hyuuga launches several attacks towards Sheffield to stop her from running away. Her attempts seem pointless, as Sheffield manages to avoid them easily.
They are still pursuing Sheffield, not realising that Takao, Atago and Ayanami are already withdrawing from the battle.
"Stop running away!!", shouted Hyuuga and Ise.
Sheffield is ignoring all the provocation she gets from Ise and Hyuuga. She then moves as far as she can, away from them. She shifted to the left, changing her direction a few times. Making Ise and Hyuuga more annoyed with her and attempting to launch a few attacks.
Suddenly, as they pursued Sheffield, they saw Edinburgh standing there.
"......."
They 're all staring at each other. Then Hyuuga and Ise smile at Edinburgh, whose face is a little blue. She's trying to smile back at them, then quickly run away from them.
"Sheffy!!! Help me! Save me! "Edinburgh cried as she scrambled away in tears. "Why did I join this mission again? ".
To impress her commander to be precise. Not to mention, she's trying to act like a big sister in front of Belfast and the others. She felt that when she decided to take part in this mission, Belfast would look at her more.
Edinburgh is running as Hyuuga and Ise are chasing her. Suddenly, she fell down and dropped her glasses. She was trying to find the glasses that were floating in the water. After that, she found it after several attempts.
As she put it on, her faces turn paler.
"You don't have where to run, little maid," Hyuuga said. "Time to face us now! ".
Hyuuga and Ise are rapidly approaching Edinburgh and ready to strike her.
Suddenly, they heard a voice. The same voice they heard in the Sakura Empire.
"The curtains fall," Formidable said as she activated her ability against Hyuuga and Ise.
Hyuuga and Ise dropped to their knees. Suddenly, they are losing their pace. They 're looking at Formidable, who's already grinning at them.
"You.....!!!", shouted Ise.
Bang...Bang..
Sheffield has come to them and shot Ise multiple times. Her faces seem emotionless as she shoots her.
Ise coughed blood a few times after he had been shot. She fell down, and she has no strength to get up.
"NEE-SAN!!!!", screamed Hyuuga.
Hyuuga ready to strike Sheffield after Formidable ability has been worn. She's really furious at her.
Bang.....
Sheffield fired a shot at Hyuuga's left arm, making her drop her weapon. She touched her arm and saw the blood flowing out of it. She 's looking at Sheffield.
Her situation is not as bad as Ise. Sheffield appears to be planning to shoot her like that for them to retreat.
"How dare you.....! "Hyuuga screamed while holding Ise. Her expression kinda fierce and scared.
Sheffield, Edinburgh and Formidable are just looking at them. A ll of them are not planning to finish them off.
"Leave this place now," Formidable said. "You can still save your sister if you retreat now".
"Choose, your sister or your pride," said Sheffield.
"..........."
Hyuuga is looking at her sister. A few seconds later, she's going to hold her sister and get away from it. She's never going to forget this humiliation for her whole life. She didn't say anything about them, and she just left them as quickly as she could to save her sister.
"..........."
"Did I do the right thing, madam Formidable? ", asked Sheffield.
Formidable doesn't say anything to her. But she's just smiling at her.
"There's nothing wrong with your act, Sheffield," Edinburgh said while trying to comfort Sheffield. "They 're still alive."
"But, they will coming back for us," said Sheffield. "And the outcome would probably be different for us if we have encountered the same thing as they did".
"................"
"Ara..How cute..."
Formidable, Sheffield and Edinburgh are looking in the direction of that voice. They saw Prinz Eugen and the other Ironblood shipgirls.
They also saw that Cleveland and Montpelier were captured by them. They 're both critically hurt.
"What are we supposed to do with you now? "Prinz Eugen said as she grinned at them.

Formidable is trying to activate her ability, only to get attacked from behind. It's the Z1 that fires a few torpedoes towards her in order to prevent her from activating her ability.
"Feuer!!", shouted Z1 while attacking Formidable.
Z23 doesn't want to waste the chance and attack her as well. Formidable incapable of avoiding all the attacks and ready to receive some damage. As a result, she can no longer use her ability to fight for this battle.
"Such despi-... c-cough, respectful enemies", said Formidable as she tries to hold herself.
"Using this kind of tactic may work against them", said Prinz Eugen. "But, we are different from them".
"Now, it is my time to taste you".
The Ironblood assaults them non-stop. They 're a teamwork deserving of recognition as they managed to attack them easily. Although it's two against five. The outcome is probably already determined if they're facing them straight away. They've got the advantages against Sheffield and Edinburgh.
"Sheffy!!", screamed Edinburgh when she saw Sheffield is badly injured after receiving plenty of damaged.
"Now, it is time for you to give up", shouted Z23.
They know already experienced the same thing they did to Hyuuga and Ise. However, will Ironblood let them go? Or, will they finished them off?
They suddenly feel very scared. Scared to die. They still not achieve their duty and responsibility.
"Goodbye...little one", said Prinz Eugen as she ready her weapon, aiming towards them.
Boom....Boom...
Boom...
Suddenly, a few bombers fall down to their spot. It's too unexpected, leaving them powerless to prevent it.
They heard someone shouting at them. They 're here already. It's Azur Lane. It's Essex and Shangri-La.
"Sorry for coming late! "Shangri-La shouted while deploying some aircraft.
"I may not be as good as Enterprise," Essex said. "But I still have the same confidence as her! ".
"Spread your wings and fly!"
Several bombers are already attacking the Ironblood. Prinz Eugen and the others are becoming more agitated. They feel too high, and they completely forget about Essex and Shangri-La.
Just a few mins later, they were defeated by Essex and Shangri-La. Essex and Shangri-La are looking at Prinz Eugen, hoping to hear some words from her.
"Tch.....You probably think you already won", said Prinz Eugen. "But, this is only the beginning".
Prinz Eugen pointed towards someone that appears behind Essex and Shangri-La. When they look their backs. Their faces turn pale.
Kaga and Admiral Hipper are still in good condition. They are aiming their weapons toward Azur Lane.
"No....no.....but how?", asked Essex. She tries to hold herself and face the reality.
Most of them are too tired to fight them anymore. They are badly injured and need the treatment fast.
But, that is not the worst.
The sky, although is still foggy. They can see plenty of siren aircraft roaming in the sky. They already received the backup.
They cannot hold them.
It is useless.
Kaga is staring at them. She already feels the humiliation after they stole the jade broaches and wisdom cube from her and Akagi.
"There is no way for you to run", said Kaga. A huge roar can be heard. It seems Kaga is activating her ability and a huge white fox with a dual runway on top of it can be seen.
"Now died!!!".
Cleveland, Montpelier, Formidable, Edinburgh, Sheffield, Essex and Shangri-La close their eyes. They are in tears. It is impossible for them to defeat the Crimson Axis. They already managed to hold most of them.
However, the Crimson Axis already receives the backup while they are alone and to face them with seven shipgirls.
They are hoping for miracles.

"WHAT!!", screamed Kaga.
She looks at the fox which already been defeated by a single bird that covered with fire. The bird is coming and flying with high speed at the huge fox. Defeated it with a single strike.
Then, the bird lands on a someone shoulder. It is Kay. And his face is serious and ready to take action.

Kay is looking at Kaga, his expressions is very fearsome. He looks at his girls and smiling at them. He will takes their place.
"YOU!!!", shouted Kaga. "How dare you, human!!!".
"Do know I you, fox girl?", asked Kay.
Kaga already thought that Kay's scents is quite familiar. Although Kay never meet her, he already know that Kaga despise him very badly. For unknown reason that he doesn't know.
"Huh! You already have the biggest disadvantages here", shouted Admiral Hipper. "We have plenty reinforcements to give plenty death for you and those girls behind you".
"You already lost, Azur Lane".

Kay still standing still. He know that those girls cannot defeat them. However, they managed to defeat most of them.
If only those sirens do not come and help them. They will defeated them.
"They already do their job", said Kay. "Enterprise and Wales will probably mad at me if they see us right now".
"What can you even do, human!!", shouted Kaga.
Kay stares at Kaga and Admiral Hipper. He activates his elements and draws his sword.
Lighting forces surround him, making all the girls surprised to see his power and enormous strength.
Slash...
Kay slashing his sword, making all the thick fog that surrounded the Fallen City is completely gone.
"Huhh!!!!! What the meaning of this?", asked Admiral Hipper.
"You probably won because this sirens or whatever", said Kay. "They already have plenty of disadvantages against you, but they still win".
"You have those sirens to help you"
"And, they have me to guide them".
Kay raised his sword towards the sky. Activates his element to start the attack. He cannot kill people in this world as the rule. But, even rule has the plenty of holes to be exploit.
Sirens are not living thing, they are just liked singularity that should never appear in the first place.
"Let me tell you, Kaga"
"Enormous power come with huge responsibility"
"Yet people misused their powers to destroy each other"
"And, my Element can Destroy The World!!!".
