A year ago, that two hundred thousand is not that large of a number. However, since the war was already ongoing for more than a year, the numbers of both sides already dwindled a lot

The surviving ones are far stronger than they are a year ago whether it be in terms of rank or experience

The wyverns want no other thing than to head to the spawns' camp and kill all of them but they cannot do that. The spawns' camp is secured and they have the help of the large towers to protect them. It wasn't an easy feat to destroy that camp

Of course, the same thing can be said to the ice islands of the wyverns and that is the reason why the two sides cannot directly attack the other's base unless they lessened the number of their enemies a lot
