Jerome was somewhat jealous seeing what Katherine and Henry could do. Jerome devotes himself in training to improve his skills and ability, he develops through battles and hardship, but seeing these two reach this control of their ability makes him question his resolve.

Philip noticed this when he looked at Jerome he sighed and talked to Jerome.

"Hey I know that look, don't question yourself kid, you've done we'll develop your skills, you and I are the same. We improve through battles and hardships. Sometimes we need a push to do so but nevertheless we achieve things that others can't, Philip."
