Rayson had been sticking to Doyle for the entirety of breakfast. I hadn't spoken a word to him the entire meal even though we were seated at the same table.
Instead of the usual feeling I get when I saw Rayson before, I felt... strangely... irritated. His personality seemed to be different from how I imagined and how he acts at the office. Every now and again, when I'm about to respond to a question or join in the conversation, he'd cut me off and switch the entire topic.
Doyle didn't seem to have noticed and was merely nodding in approval to what Rayson had said. I didn't believe there would be a day where I found Rayson to be... an eyesore. Oh... maybe that was too harsh.
I shook my head and was about to interject again when Rayson cut me off again. Feeling frustrated, I excused myself and left for the restroom.
I took a glance behind me expecting Doyle to follow after me but he didn't, he was engrossed with the topic of discussion he and Rayson were sharing.
