The situation turned for worst for the Black Mercenary. Just a while ago, they were grabbing all the treasures they could find. They even betrayed Linggu to monopolize the entire resources.

And now, they were running for their lives desperate to live through this nightmare.

The sphix was too powerful. Even the two elders were no match against it, much less them.

Arthur's mind was running wild. He was thinking of possible ways of escaping this calamity. Soon, his eyes perked and shouted, "Return all the treasures! Don't keep even a single one!"

He thought that the sphinx was acting this way because they were robbing this tomb. He was actually betting that the beast would stop once the treasures were returned.

The soldiers immediately followed the order albeit with trembling hands. They put the pouches forward and immediately backed off after doing it. Currently, all the treasures had been returned. Some were even returned to their places.
