Capítulo 6: Chapter 6

Bryan pulled up front to let Karen get out, Bryan grabbed their luggage and headed inside. Kaitlyn got out so that way Madison could sit up front.

"Mom, Dad will it be alright with you guys if I stay with Kaitlyn for a while to make sure that she gets back on her feet okay?" Madison asked as she looked at both of her parents.

"Sure, just make sure you call us if you need anything and Kaitlyn is also welcome to stay here as well." Karen replied.

"Thank you mom." Madison responded as she hugged her parent's tightly.

Madison got into the car as she looked over at Kaitlyn.

"Do you trust me driving your car?" Madison asked in a joking matter.

"Yes, I know that the car is in good hands and so am I." Kaitlyn replied with a chuckle.

"Really now?" Madison asked.

"Yes, why wouldn't I be?" Kaitlyn asked a question in return.

"I have no idea, I just love messing with you." Madison replied with a smile.

"I know you do and I love it, remember there are paybacks."

Soon they pulled into Kaitlyn's driveway, no one is home, though that didn't surprise Kaitlyn. They were always too busy to even pay attention that Kaitlyn wasn't even home. Kaitlyn got out of the car, pain passed through her slightly and she winced.

"Are you alright?" Madison asked in worry.

"Yes." Kaitlyn replied with a sigh, she didn't want Madison to worry that she is still in pain.

Lydia came out of the house.

"Ms. Kaitlyn! Ms. Madison! It is so good to see you both." Lydia said with a grin. "Ms. Kaitlyn, I have been so worried about you."

"You too." They both replied in unison.

"I am doing alright, Lydia." Kaitlyn responded to Lydia.

"Dinner is on the stove, I just have to set out another plate on the table, your mom and dad are at the country lodge they won't be back until much later, so we have the house to ourselves." She replied as she opened the door for the ladies.

"Thank you Lydia, my bags are in the trunk." Kaitlyn responded.

"I will take them to your room." Lydia replied.

Kaitlyn and Madison headed into the house as they sat in the living room while Lydia got their bags and placed them upstairs, once she came down Kaitlyn stood up.

"How long until dinner is done?" Kaitlyn asked.

"About an hour or so." Lydia replied as she went into the kitchen.

"We will be in my room so when it is done let us know." Kaitlyn responded as she motioned for Madison.

"Will do ma'am." Lydia replied.

"How many times do I got to tell you Lydia, Kaitlyn will do just fine. No ma'am or madame for that matter." Kaitlyn responded with a laugh.

"Yes, Miss Kaitlyn." Lydia replied with a chuckle.

Kaitlyn shook her head then headed upstairs as Madison followed behind her, they arrived to the bedroom as Kaitlyn turned on some music to make the mood feel a little better then what she is feeling.

"What do you say we go out looking for your dress and my tux tomorrow?" Kaitlyn asked.

"I would definitely like that but are you going to be feeling up to it?" Madison asked in return.

"Yes, plus Prom is only three days away we need to get ready." Kaitlyn replied with a smile.

"I know, I will have to pick up the tickets tomorrow. Are you going to watch me cheer?" Madison responded while biting her lip knowing Kaitlyn hasn't watched her cheer and she definitely wanted her to be there.

"You know that I won't miss it for the world plus seeing you in uniform I think that I might enjoy it." Kaitlyn replied with a wink.

"Ha ha, very funny." Madison responded with a roll of her eyes.

"I thought so, it's true though a woman in uniform." Kaitlyn replied growling.

"Are you growling at me?" Madison responded as she laughed.

"Yes, I know you will look sexy." Kaitlyn replied with a smile.

A knock on the door startled them from their conversation. "Ms. Kaitlyn and Ms. Madison dinner is ready."Lydia said through the closed door.

"We will be right there, Lydia." Kaitlyn replied.

"Your mom and dad have other plans, I am guessing the Garners asked them over for dinner, it will just be the two of you since I need to catch up on housework." Lydia responded to Kaitlyn.

Kaitlyn and Madison headed downstairs the smell of stir fry floated through the air, they sat down at the table just the two of them, Lydia lit the candles for them that she exited the room, and both girls ate under a candle lit dinner together.

After dinner they headed back up to Kaitlyn's room, Madison sat down on the bed and motioned Kaitlyn to sit beside her. Madison stared into her eyes trying to find the words that hidden in her mind, she wasn't sure what to say.

"Madison, don't think to hard or you will hurt yourself." Kaitlyn said as she placed a kiss on Madison's cheek.

"Very funny." Madison replied as she stuck her tongue out at Kaitlyn.

"Are you tired? I know that I am and we have a long day ahead of us tomorrow, school then cheerleading practice." Kaitlyn responded with a tired smile.

"I know, I am getting tired." Madison replied with a yawn.

Kaitlyn laid down as Madison placed her head on Kaitlyn's chest, she could hear the beating of her heart, Kaitlyn kissed her softly and they both slowly drifted off to sleep.

The alarm clock went off buzzing through the whole room but neither one of them have moved, they didn't even wake up to the banging on the door, Mrs. Tisdale came through the door when she saw her daughter and Madison all she could is scream.

Both Kaitlyn and Madison jumped out of bed with her step mother's mouth hanging open without saying a word she left. Kaitlyn and Madison took no time to get ready, they raced down the stairs both grabbing a apple on the way.

"Bye Erin! Bye Dad!" Kaitlyn shouted half way out the door.

"I am thinking we must have given her a heart attack." Madison said with a laugh.

"No, she'll be alright." Kaitlyn replied.

"We better get going don't want to be late." Madison responded with a chuckle.

Madison opened the door for Kaitlyn to get in, shutting the door she raced around, getting into the car she looked over at Kaitlyn.

"Buckle up, time to burn some rubber and waste no time." Madison said with a laugh.

They peeled out of the driveway, dirt flying from behind them and Kaitlyn holding on to the dashboard and door for dear life.

"Damn, slow down!" Kaitlyn shouted at Madison.

"We can't be late, not again." Madison replied reminding Kaitlyn.

Madison pulled into a parking spot at school just as the bell rang, they both raced inside, first period about to start and made it to their assigned seats before the bell rang.

Mrs. Lawson came into the room, closing the classroom door behind her, and she looked around the room to make sure everyone is seated.

"Ms. Tisdale, glad to see you are on time for once." Mrs. Lawson said with a smile.

"Yes, thanks to a wonderful NASCAR driver." Kaitlyn replied as she looked at Madison who just smiled in her direction.

Kaitlyn looked down at her desk to find a mysterious note, she picked up and read it.

"Gosh, Kaitlyn where the hell have you been? I have been worried sick about you. So, what is new? Write back, Iris."

Kaitlyn quickly wrote a response then handed it up to Iris, Mrs. Lawson seen it and motioned for Iris to bring the note to her.

"You know how I feel about passing notes back and forth in my class, you also know what that means." Mrs. Lawson began unfolding the paper, she adjusted her glasses and read the note from beginning to end. "Gosh, Kaitlyn where the hell have you been? I have been worried sick about you. So, what is new? Write back, Iris." Now what Kaitlyn had said back. "Iris there is a lot that is new, I gave my kidney away for someone that I love but that ain't the only reason. Iris, you're not going to believe it but Madison and I are well an item! I have never been this happy before, talk to you later go to listen to the bag talk about English now." Mrs. Lawson tossed the note in the trash. "I am surprised Ms. Tisdale that you know how to write so well considering you don't pay attention in my class."

Kaitlyn hunkered down in her seat while everyone looked at Kaitlyn and Madison. Madison looked over at Kaitlyn not sure what to say, Kaitlyn felt disappointed and so much more staring back at her, frowning she raised her hand.

"Can I go out to the hallway for a minute?" Kaitlyn asked.

"Fine, I don't want this in my class again." Mrs. Lawson replied with a warning.

"Yes, ma'am." Kaitlyn responded as she stood up and went out to the hallway.

Meanwhile in the classroom everyone watched as Mrs. Lawson began writing on the board, another note got passed this time to Madison, opening it read in big letters reading the word DYKE, crumpling it up she threw it onto the floor.

"So, you're girlfriend is in love with you? How sweet. NOT!" Chris spoke from his seat they were two seats apart, he sat at the very front.

Madison could feel her anger rise as Mrs. Lawson kept writing on the board.

"DYKE!" He shouted in her direction.

Madison got out of her seat then went straight to Chris Hughes and punched him square in the face. Mrs. Lawson turned around to see that Chris is on the ground and Madison is standing over him.

"Ms. Somers, OFFICE NOW!" she shouted to Madison.

Madison headed towards Mr. Langley's office, she wasn't sure what she's going to say. She knew that Mrs. Lawson already called to let him know that she's on her way and what happened. Opening the door to the office she waited until Mr. Langley came out, his look on his face had said it all, Madison directed her eyes down, he motioned for her to follow him and she headed in, taking a seat without saying a word.

"Ms. Somers, what is going on with you? Ever since I have seen you with Ms. Tisdale a lot has changed with her and now you are the one in here." Mr. Langley said.

"I...I am not sure why I did what I did...Mr. Langley, I guess I was angry with what he said while Kaitlyn was out of the room and sorry to say all hell broke lose. I have reacted in a way that I shouldn't have and I am truly sorry." Madison replied as she stared at Mr. Langley trying to read his expressions.

His expression eased up a bit with hope she wasn't going to get into trouble as she sighed and waited.

"Ms. Somers, I am not sure where to begin. I know that what was said is uncalled for but it is hear say, only one that got in trouble is you for hitting another student which is indeed a serious defense here." Mr. Langley responded in a stern voice.

"I know it sir, I am sorry." Madison replied.

"I know that you are sorry but what kind of example am I going to be setting for the others, I need to keep my school in order. So here is what I am going to do, you will need to spend after school hours in detention. Is that fair enough?" Mr. Langley responded as he stared her down.

"Yes, will I still be able to go to Prom?" Madison asked.

"Yes you will, as long as nothing like this happens between here and then. Is that settle?" Mr. Langley replied.

"Yes sir." Madison responded as she stood up.

"Now, out of my office and I will see you in after school detention." Mr. Langley replied.

"Fine, see you tomorrow after cheerleading practice." Madison responded with a sigh of frustration in her voice. "If that is okay?"

"That will be fine, Ms. Somers." Mr. Langley replied.

Madison headed out the door as the bell rang dismissing school, Kaitlyn was outside of the door already waiting.

"What the hell happened?" Kaitlyn asked.

"I don't want to talk about it." Madison replied with a shake of her head.

"Madison, I heard and there is nothing wrong with what you did. I mean I know that it wasn't right but knowing that you stood up for me and yourself that is hot." Kaitlyn responded with a grin.

"Gosh, dang, Kaitlyn is that all you think about?" Madison replied rolling her eyes.

"No, it's true though what I said to Iris in the note, I do love you." Kaitlyn responded with a smile.

Madison wasn't sure what to say is this all too soon.

"I am not expecting a answer right away, I mean I know how hard it is but I will be waiting until you decide to say it back. I will keep saying it over and over, I will love you Madison no matter what." Kaitlyn said as she kissed Madison's cheek.

"Kaitlyn, I know that you do, I just need to figure out what I really want. I know that it is you but I know in time I will say it just not sure when." Madison replied with a smile.

"I will be here with you, now let's get to cheerleading practice, shall we?" Kaitlyn asked with a laugh.

Madison took Kaitlyn's hand and they headed off to the football field where the practice is already beginning.
