It was almost midnight when Feng Tianyi finally had time to himself after tucking the children in their beds. As he entered the master bedroom, he was reminded that he would be sleeping alone tonight again.

He sat on the side of the bed and checked his phone, expecting to see a message from his wife, but there was none. Was she angry at him? He wondered. Tang Moyu probably knew by now that Liu Ruoyan showed up today, courtesy of their children.

He contemplated for a moment if he should give her a call or not, wondering if she was already asleep by this time. Not being able to take it any longer, Feng Tianyi dialed his wife's number, feeling his heart thumping painfully in his chest.

"I thought you wouldn't call." He heard Tang Moyu's calm and cold tone on the other end of the line.

"Moyu…" Suddenly, Feng Tianyi realized that he didn't know what to tell her. Should he explain to her that he didn't mean any of it to happen while she was gone?
