Shizuka glanced back at the merman behind her with a curious look. The half-fish male looked at her as if she was crazy or something-- the expression he used said so.

The female Ichijou laughed lightly at Neriolhe's reaction, not really expecting him to answer. "I was just stating one of the possibilities. There's a small chance that the beast doesn't exist. But, at the same time, there's also a chance that it does."

"So, you're saying..."

Shizuka just grinned cheekily at the male, not completely answering his unfulfilled curiosity. Raising an eyebrow at the girl's antics, he shrugged and pushed his questions back, focusing on what mattered in front of him at the moment.
