"Hm---" He peered his eyes at her and stayed quiet, and Ivy instantly knew she had succeeded putting him on the fence.

Then it became a battle of silence, where she knows that whoever that speaks first would lose. 

But deep down inside, she was desperately screaming and praying that he would say yes because she needed more time so that she could find a way to avoid her death.

After a minute or two, she saw the Red Masked man walked up to the King and whispered in his ear.

Then the King nodded and said, "Very well. I shall share with you our plans then."

[Phew~] she sighed inside her mind, but it was too early for her to celebrate because the guards suddenly grabbed her from behind.
