Chapter Fifty-three

I did not see Samson around. Dad came and picked me up. On the silent ride home, Dad's mobile rang. 

He picked it up and looked at me before answering it. "It's Spencer."

I sat up straight, interested and watched as his facial expression changed from curiosity to surprise as he spoke to Spencer. Was that a good thing?

He hung up and I could feel the happiness reverberating through him. "He wants us to come down to the station. They caught Sam's murderer." 

"For real?" I laughed my surprise. The fricking man in a hood? I was relieved. If I was not stuck in a moving car I would have spun and danced around. Sam would get justice and Bridget was safe now. Ultimately he would have to confess and expose who gave the order. The secret admirer would be caught then, and I would finally know what PEACE meant. I was grateful, my prayers had been finally answered. "How was he apprehended?"
