Taevlin walked down the steps and into the living room which was currently empty. He walked to his favorite seat and picked up the book he had left there.

Since they were going out on 'delegation duties', all the members of the first house had been exempt from classes. This meant that they had nothing to do the whole day.

He picked up his book and looked through the book. However, although he was looking at the book, he was still unable to read anything as his mind was preoccupied.

He was not among the entourage that had gone with Aimero to get Lexine's blood. He saw it as a needless thing, so when it was proposed by Headmaster that he should go, he had completely refused. Now, he heard that Lexine's mother was dead and that they had left her while she was still unconscious.
