Capítulo 4: The Lawyer

"It's really okay. I should thank you. You made me feel warmer. It's very chivalrous of you. Please don't apologize." Relief falls on his face.

"Good...good. Well, I'm glad you feel warmer but are you sure you're okay? You look a little pale?"

"Yeah, I was just talking to my little brother. He's just as always in trouble and obviously not takin-" (What am I doing?? Stop!! He can't know about my troubled brother? He's my boss. It's way too personal.")

"You have a brother?"

"Yes, I do. Nothing too serious. Just chatting with him."

"And you lost track of time?"

"Yes, yes that's it." (Phew! Dodge a bullet!)

"I hope whatever this, is, will work itself out."

"Thank you but there's nothing to worry about."

"Okay, if you say so. Then have a good night, Lilly, and see you tomorrow." He smiles. He turns and walks in the opposite direction. You stand there, just staring at him.
