Mary's heart was on her throat. Once she was out of sight, she placed a hand over her chest, immediately feeling her erratic heart beating wildly against her rib cage.

'I'm looking for my wife, Mary. I'm looking for Avalyn'. Mary was having a hard time trying to process that one out. 

Ava, Avalyn, the little girl who knew about X and the same little girl whom Marcus Zephanie had asked everyone to go and look for was Detective Oliver's wife? Then… what of Shay Zephanie?

Mary shook her head.

"What the hell?!" she muttered, realizing that it was either the detective was cheating and was looking for his other woman or Ava, Avalyn was… a clone.

Her heart was hammering so hard against her chest, Mary took the time to lean on the door of Marcus Zephanie's makeshift office.
