"It has always been about you, Marcus." Marcus Zephanie was sitting crossed legged in his living room, a champagne flute was in his hand.

His brother's voice echoed through his head.

Richard was older than him by two years. They used to share one bedroom when they were little. Marcus Zephanie had always looked up to his older brother.

Back in the day, he and Richard had been inseparable. He used to tell Richard about almost everything. From his fascination with the different types of insects to his nonsense crushes in high school. They were tight as any sibling there could be.

Inhaling the earthy aroma of the wine in his hand, Marcus briefly remembered how he never saw the day of him and Richard falling apart. The once steadfast and immovable connection they have had disappeared in a blink of an eye.
