As if the bizarre idea of magical plushes and dolls capable of modifying the human body and invoking animals was not one crazy enough that Marie could not finish believing, hearing from the talking puppy about the death of her daughter in a horrible and bloody quarrel to a ghost, only to be brought back to Earth by a demonical being that had enslaved her, made the woman's pale expression spread more with impotence, sadness, and resentment. Listening to the descriptions of all the scars adorning her child's body was not any more comforting to her already unstable existence. 

"Why did they do that? She is just a girl!" The woman exaltedly complained, with tears falling from her watery eyes. "What did she do to be hurt by such horrible monsters? She didn't deserve it!"
