Vines, like snakes,
Winding round and round
Stealing the life out of its benefactor,
Why do I feel the snake-like vines slithering up my legs?
Crawling towards my stomach, my chest, my arms
Slowly inching towards my neck,
Slowly taking my life,
Slowly taking my ability to walk,
Slowly suffocating until my mind goes fuzzy and blank
Fully submerging me, and crushing my bones
The vines invade me,
Invade my stomach,
Invade my lungs,
Invade my heart,
Invade my mind
These snake-like vines
Cover me as if a statue from the days of old
And I'll be forgotten
