Capítulo 33: VISION
A day had pass and Selena haven't seen Amanda anywhere again. Rice is always with her since morning and she enjoyed herself with the little girl's company. She even bathed and feed her while they were in the Stronghold mansion. Selena heard Rice don't eat just any food but everything she gave her end up to her stomach. Luke is busy in his office. They decided to wait in the Village until full moon. Selena already talked to Erin and told her that she had a special project and Mr. Medina back her up. From then she found out that Mr. Medina and the four rascal are also wolves.
Afternoon. Selena and Rice are in the training ground. The little girl fell asleep in between her arms and she just let her sleep. Kids like her should have enough rest to grow healthy. She was busy watching the young lads and lass throwing punches and kicks. She feels like dozing off when a loud screeching noise fills her ears. It's like a very loud scream near her and she feels like her eardrums was about to break. She covered her ears while holding the sleeping Rice on her lap. She shut her eyes so hard and when she opened them she saw a fog in front of her. The fog started to give vision and she saw a lot of wild animals or wolves coming from afar. She raised her hand to touch the fog that's playing a scene and she noticed that her hand goes somewhere deep like it was inside the scene.
The young girls and boys noticed what Selena was doing. She's like catching something in the air and also waving her hands.
"What is she doing?". One of the young girl asked.
"Catching flies!". A young lad blurted out and the other laughed.
"She is so weird".
"Maybe she's a fool?".
"A fool for a Luna?". A girl said in shocked. She even covered her mouth. Afraid that someone might hear her calling Selena a fool.
"I'd rather vote for Warrior Amanda instead". A young man said his thoughts and he heard almost everyone agreed.
"That's why I don't like ordinary humans. They are so weak and stupid". One of the lad said and everyone agreed and laugh.
Their trainor scold them when he noticed they stopped and just watched Selena do the waving thing. He just shook his head. He don't understand what Selena was doing but he cannot scold their future Luna or his Alpha will twist his neck. He just ignored her.
The fog disappeared along with the vision. Selena was looking at her hands. Facing her palm and the back. 'That is so weird'. She raised her hands again and saw a dark shade in the sky. Her heart pound. She feels like hyperventilating. Then she smell blood. Selena lifted Rice and decided to go to Luke. She's confused and afraid but there's something in her head that urging her to asked for help.
Luke is with the former Alpha his father and former Beta, Drew's father. They were talking about the rampage happened in the neighboring Clan. The Opal Moon Pack was attacked by only hundreds of beast like wolves and almost got slaughtered. It was a sudden attacked that they didn't even have the time to prepare. They didn't also noticed that the rogues already sat their foot in Opal Moon's land. Although Opal Moon was known for their speed and strength they were almost slaughtered. Even their healing abilities that was known to be the fastest of all wolf clan became useless. Most of their warriors died. Good thing that in the last minute a wolf escaped and went to another neighbor and asked for their help. And the nearest neighbor called Crystal Moon Pack came in time. They were known for their fighting abilities.
Each neighbor and pack was now aware of the situation. They become worried. One of the strongest Pack were attacked and almost slaughtered and even after a help from the other Pack arrived almost everyone end up dead. The devastation starts there. Every Pack in the land decided to make an alliance with other Packs but doing this means visiting the territory of ther wolf clan personally or sending delegates and representatives. The higher the representative are the biggest respect they will receive. Luke and his Beta wants to visit the other pack although his father is against it. Leaving the Shadow Claw without an Alpha is a very dangerous decision.
Luke agreed to his father but they really need to make some alliance with the other pack but he cannot just send someone with a lower rank.
A knock on the door took their attention. Luke's eyes brightened he can smell his mate. He quickly stand up and reach for the door.
"What is it my love?". He said as soon as he opened the door. "And you also brought our daughter". He teased her. Looking at his Mate holding a child in her arms makes him want to lock her inside his room for a week to make sure that she can conceive quickly. His hormones is rising.
Drew cough loudly to get his Alpha's attention. He can smell his libido from afar. The two old men just chuckles when they smelled him. They were like him when they were young that's why they understand him.
"Luke, it's Rice!". She said dumbfoundingly. "And we don't have a daughter yet". Selena said with a hint of innocence.
"Do you want one now". He said grinning. His eyes is glistening of hope.
Selena rolled her eyes. "Mr. Stronghold try to keep your pants up..... Until I mark you, we won't be having sex". She said it with conviction.
Luke's shoulders sank down. "Do you want me to die?". He made a pity look and a pleading eyes. No intimate moments with his mate means no life at all.
"Mr. Stronghold you won't die without sex". Selena moved Rice to her other shoulder.
Luke saw Selena is having trouble carrying Rice. He took her from Selena's arms.
Selena was stunned with Luke's action. She saw how he carried Rice gently like a father. She's in gape.
"Do I look sexy?". Luke noticed how surprised his mate with his actions. She probably didn't know that he can actually carry a small child gently. In their Village each child is considered a treasure because their legacy will be continued by them. His parents thought him that and also thought him to take care of all their little ones inside the Village. Luke was so amused with his mate he tried to teased her while patting Rice's back because she almost wake up when he took her.
Selena cleared her throat. She won't answer him or he will tease her again. But on her mind she thinks 'he is so god damn sexy'.
"Luna do you have something important to say?". Drew can't stand their to much PDA he quickly asked her.
"I'm not a Luna yet, please call me Selena". She said to Drew. She don't want other people to misunderstood anything.
"I'm sorry Lu.... I mean Selena". But he still bow to her, a sign of respect.
"Thank you!". Selena don't understand why they keep bowing their heads in front of her. Thinking maybe it was a custom or been their good gesture towards others, she just ignored it. She's much more concerned about the Luna thing. She's not yet in the position to be called Luna that's why she don't want to be addressed with that rank.
"My love, what is it that you need?". Luke asked her directly. Even though he loves to be with her they are still in the middle of a serious meeting.
Selena don't know how to start explaining her vision or premonition. But she really need to tell Luke what she just saw. "I think were all going to die tonight!". She exclaimed.
"What?". All the people inside Luke's office said the same thing.
Selena froze. "Or will not?". She changed her statement. She felt that she came to strong for them. Besides she's not sure about the vision she saw.
"Selena what are you talking about?". Luke became serious. Hearing the death of his pack troubled him.
"I don't really know how to explain this... Truth is I am not really sure but it look so real". Selena felt like a fool. She rushed in and talked about something she don't even understand.
Luke handed Rice to Drew.
"Come here my love". He ushered Selena to his side. "Now tell me what exactly did you see". Luke coax her. She looks terrified and nervous.
Selena made a deep sigh before she speak. "We were sitting on the training ground then I heard a loud screech then a scream. Suddenly a fog came and I saw it. Hundreds of beast running towards the wall then dark clouds appeared". She raised her hands. "I saw blood, there were blood in my hands and I smelled them". She trembled in fear. The smell of blood lingers in her nostrils as if they were real.
"It's okay baby, you can stop now!". Luke hugged her then took a glance at his father. They were just talking about those hundred beasts a while ago and his Mate came with a vision. "Selena can I ask one more thing?".
Selena nod.
"Where do you think those beasts will come from?". Luke wants an exact location though he was contemplating about her vision. He still wants to make sure his people will be safe. In his mind if his mate's vision became real thousands of lives might be lost tonight. He will do anything to avoid that. Besides his guts is also telling him to believe her.
Selena raised her hands again. She remembered the light begun to dim to a certain place. "There". She pointed at North West of the woods.
"Other than blood do you smell anything more?". Drew asked next. He also have a hunch but he still needs to prove them.
"Oil!".
Luke and Drew looked at each other. They remembered Dusk telling them about the scent less wolves. They have a certain smell of oil.
