Sungho tried to stretch out the limb he could barely call a hand down forward. Numb from the coat of snow he was laying, he saw his little brother shouting his lungs out, also getting devoured by the wolves that surrounded them. Sungho had no energy to release audible shouts. Instead, he released them all through his head.
'Little brother Songjin! No!' A trail of tears cascaded on the corner of his eyes to the side of his face. He would rather volunteer himself getting eaten than witnessing his little brother be the meal of this pack of wolves.
'This is not true.' Sungho sought to calm his senses by thinking rationally. What he was seeing was far from what had truly happened. He convinced himself that this was not the scene he had remembered. 'This is an illusion. A sickening dream. A nightmare.'
"O-Older brugh—Heuk!"
