Capítulo 7: Chapter 7: She's A Star

The lobby was beautifully designed with a Victorian-era of architecture. The red velvet carpet was eye-catching followed by the furniture which was decorated in gold and white. Although in the distance.. the two catch their eye on something... a group of people surrounding something or someone...

Both wondered what the crowd was going crazy over... Lawrence turns to the nearest person and asks. "What is with the crowd over there? Is there something going on in the hotel lobby?

"Oh.. the starstagram star is here!" One of the people says excitedly...

"Starstagram? What's that?" Celestina looks at everyone in a puzzled manner.

As they all look at each other in bewilderment.. the starstagram walked towards the receptionist of the hotel. Which was toward their direction and like when the mother duck moved. The baby ducklings moved along with her...

"Who.. is that? Why is she followed by all of those people?" Celestina takes a look at the girl in the distance. The girl looked like her age as well as Lawrence. She wore very aesthetic clothing a type of clothing Celestina is not aware of.

Her hair flowed like the river as she turns around to greet her fans.. smiling and giggling about with them making them all feel secure and happy. Her presence was like a shining star. Everyone noticed her and everyone acknowledged her...

She gives a similar feeling to what Celestina felt when she was younger. Many people trying to get her attention and her approval to boost their own ego and power by befriending her.

Lawrence would turn to her putting her away from the crowd and slowly whisper an explanation. "You see commoners use something called Social media instead of socializing face to face like normal human beings do."

"Ooh.. I see.. although what's so special about her exactly? She looked very ordinary to me."

"She's a starstagram star. It's an app used by commoners to show their photos.. well I'm not much of a user of it but I've seen that her photos get so much attention from people.. especially men with no sense of self-worth so they only have to hope on young girls." Lawrence explained in very accurate detail.. well a little too accurate...

"Well, I guess that's interesting! Maybe I can go on social media as well! I did read in my books that the characters often enjoyed texting with one another. Some even confessing their feelings over a text." Celestina responded eagerly.

They hear mumblings in the side of the reception.. they noticed the crowd is going away... a sign that the star has already checked in her room in the hotel.

"Perhaps we should go to our rooms so you can freshen up and we can finally eat dinner." Lawrence shows the way to the receptionist. He would show them a letter from their guardians. The king and queen to let them stay there.

They would speak for a bit before the receptionist hands them two keys for their separate rooms. Although Celestina looked surprised why they were given two keys. "Oh, why don't we just share a room?"

"HEAVENS NO. THAT WOULD BE OUT OF THE QUESTION. WE DON'T SHARE A ROOM IN THE CASTLE WHY WOULD WE SHARE A ROOM NOW!" Lawrence answered her blushing and acting all giddy and teary-eyed.

"I... you really don't want to be around me?" Celestina used her powerful weapon yet. Her charm.. She pouted in sadness towards Lawrence...

"No. It was just common etiquette that's all. You know how men and women have different bathrooms. It's similar along those lines." He explains to her grabbing his key. "You can head over to your room and we'll meet back at the lobby once you are done freshening up and changing.. let's go have our dinner."

"Alright then! See you later Lawrence!" She cheerfully dashed towards her room. The hotel was like a maze. Rooms in every corner.. that faint smell of books danced around the hallways of the hotel.

"I've always wondered why hotels smell like libraries..." She giggled to herself while trying to navigate on the maze-like hotel hallways... looking left.. looking right.. she wasn't able to find her room... she was lost...

Well to begin with she wasn't very good with directions.

"Where... where do I go now... don't they have a map of this place or something?! I should have asked which floor my room is in!" She started to panic biting her fingernails.

"Are you... alright?" She hears a soft-spoken voice behind her. Turning around.. it was the girl.. the girl from earlier... the "starstagram star" as she recalled it.

"You seem to be having a bit of trouble, aren't you? Let me help you!" The girl enthusiastically offered help to Celestina... She was very confused about where to go.

"Oh.. thank you!" Celestina would thank her.

"Your room is actually close to mine... so why don't you go ahead and follow me so we can go to both our rooms!" The girl offered.

"Of course! That would be very pleasant! Thank you so much for your assistance." Celestina gave her a thousand thanks.

"Oh, no problem..." She says as they start walking towards their rooms together. "I'm guessing you're not from around here!"

"I'm really not... I'm new to the big city that's all..." The princess responded to her.

"Well... I'm not from around here either... I was just sightseeing before I head over to go back to my school." She chuckled softly. In the distance, they can both spot their room numbers so they dashed towards their room with each other's company.

"Thank you for guiding me to my room... I would have been awfully lost without your help."

"It's my pleasure.. although don't you have a guardian or someone to look after you? From the looks of it, we are both the same age don't tell me you came to unfamiliar cities with just yourself."

"Oh no! I wasn't alone! I have my at-"

Before she could speak.. she stopped herself from what she was about to say... if she said to her that she had an attendant... it would ruin their mission of living a commoner life... and from beyond her understanding... commoners don't attendants...

"What was that? You like stopped before you could say what you were about to say." The girl asked her confused with what she was about to say.

"What I was about to say is that... I wasn't alone... I had my brother, Lawrence.. with me." She answered the question with a white lie. Although she didn't like the idea of lying.. she didn't really have a choice... if the starstagram star found out about her status.. her mission would be in vain.

"Oh.. alright then! Well, have fun in your room." The girl gets her key from her pocket and then unlocks her door.

"Wait! I didn't quite catch your name. What's your name actually?"

The air went silent... the tension grew thicker that you could cut it with a knife... the girl's sweet smile turned into a scowl. Staring at Celestina with deep intent of malice. "Did I do something wrong.. I was only asking for her name...." Celestina thought to herself confused about the situation.
