Capítulo 15: Dragged her to bed.
"Dont chew your lips like that"
Without waiting for her reply, he gently touched the mole on her upper lip and said
"This small mole on your lips is beautiful. When you chew your lips, I cant see it. " Li Jie said gently to Zhang Xiaoxi.
When his warm breath fell on her face and his thumb caressing her upper lip, Xiaoxi felt her heart beating out of her chest.
Listening to his gentle voice , looking into his beautiful eyes, she was mesmerised and forgot to reply to him.
When Li Jie didn't get reply from Zhang Xiaoxi, he frowned thinking that she was uncomfortable, he let her go.
"What was i thinking. We just got married yesterday. I didn't know her before but where does this closeness come from. Why do i want to touch her, look at her."
"She must be thinking I'm a pervert." thought Li Jie.
"Im sorry, I don't know what was i thinking, i will maintain my distance from next time. Sorry, for making you feel uncomfortable " apologised Li Jie.
Zhang Xiaoxi who regained control of her mind and body felt something was amiss.
"Did he think i was uncomfortable. Is that why he is apologising. But, i didn't feel anything of that kind. In fact, I was drooling at his beauty.
Should I tell him , I was not uncomfortable? But will he think I'm being very straightforward.
What if he think when i say i'm comfortable when the husband I married yesterday whom i never knew before touches me?"
"But, he sounded guilty, should I apologise too?" Xiaoxi kept thinking.
When Li Jie didnt get any reply, feeling awkward he turned and was about to go out of the room.
" I have a habit of chewing my lip, when im tensed or embarrassed." Spoke Zhang Xiaoxi hurriedly.
Listening to her words, Li Jie turned around and looked at her.
Gathering all her courage, Zhang Xiaoxi looked into his eyes and said " I will try not to chew it from now.
I was not uncomfortable just now, I was just-just stunned but definitely not uncomfortable."
Saying this, Zhang Xiaoxi turned her back to Li Jie and hid her face in fear that he will notice her blush.
If only she didn't turn to the other side and notice the rare smile on Li Jie's face.
Listening to Xiaoxi's words, an unknown happiness crept into Li Jie's heart. A rare feeling which he never felt, even when he was in his so called relationship he didn't feel like this.
"She didn't feel uncomfortable that means is she ok with us being close? She didn't think of me as an Pervert?
Yesterday when she didn't speak to me much, I thought she is going to be uncomfortable to adjust to this relationship but now!!!!" Smiled Li Jie.
Zhang Xiaoxi cheeks were burning, but she knew what she said today are her words from her heart.
"When he took all the initiatives to talk to me yesterday, i know i am going to be okay with him. Though i never had any expectations, after talking to him, my view about this marriage changed." Thought zhang Xiaoxi.
Immersed in her thoughts, she didn't notice Li Jie coming closer to her.
Slowly making his way to her, Li Jie stood behind Zhang Xiaoxi and called her.
"Zhang Xiaoxi "
Startled by the sudden sound, Zhang Xiaoxi jumped in shock and turned to look at him.
"Thank you" said Li Jie who noticed her still pinkish cheeks and ears.
He could feel his heart fluttering when he looked into her eyes. This little wife of his has the most beautiful eyes. And the way her lips are pursued due to the sudden shock he gave her made her lips look small and cute.
He could feel heat rushing down his body looking at her. He could not help but touch the mole on her lip again.
" I really like this mole on your lips. " said Li Jie who then took a deep breath and dragged her to the bed and made her sit on the edge of it.
Squatting down in front of her, looking into her eyes "Xiaoxi, whatever I am about to say now might sound surprising, but I think I am attracted to you.I known its not even a complete day we have known each other, i know this is fast to have I think you are beautiful and I am kinda attracted to you."
Do you also feel it??" Asked Li Jie.
Stunned by his words, Zhang Zhang blushed and lowered her head nodding to his question.
Did she have that feeling. Of course she did. who in the world doesn't get attracted to his perfect face and his sweet behaviour.
She didnt remember when was the last time she had this feeling, after her heartbreak she completely shut her heart and was away from all this kind of feelings.
But Li Jie it's different. Her great wall of stone surrounding her heart started to Crumble under his gentleness.
Thinking about something, she lifted her head and looked into his eyes,
"Li Jie, i dont know whether you know my past or not but I think I should tell you about it.
And i also know about your past, though you seem so cold and tough, it must have left a scar on your heart too.
Yesterday when we decided to give this marriage a chance, for me that chance is healing your scar. I don't know how,
but i will try my best to be the wife who you can lean on when things get tough. And as you said, Loyalty is the only thing I expect from you too.
We dont have feelings for each other right now, but this comfort around each other already signifies that we are not repelled by each other.
And i also think and hope time changes our relationship into something more than just a attraction.
I really want to give this marriage and our relationship a chance" said Zhang Xiaoxi
