Capítulo 24: Professionalism

Around ten minutes later there was another call for Sun Bingwen for the filming. As he left, Sis Xiao and Bro Wang followed along while Shao Rong told them to leave while she will be there in a minute.

They nodded and left without any further thought and focused on the scene about to be filmed. After they left, Shao Rong took a glance at the script that Bingwen just left and then slowly moved towards the door and opened it lightly. She looked outside to observe the locations of various people. Once she carefully observed and when she thought everything was in place she could manage, she slowly came outside.

She walked normally but in reality she managed to avoid the vision of Changying and her people whom she met during the day in the shopping mall.

She slowly reached Sis Xiao and stood behind her normally and calmly.

The scene about to be shot was where the friends, Ren Weimin and Sun Bingwen, would listen to a crucial clue regarding the antagonist from the female lead, Changying.

Everyone saw Changying coming in her usual haughty demeanor and stood in her place. But once the director's "Action" was heard, she immediately turned serious and moved anxiously towards Ren Weimin who was busily speaking to Sun Bingwen.

Looking at Changying, they paused their conversation and asked her to calm down before speaking about what happened.

Weimin gave her a glass of water to calm down. Once she drank the water and looked at them with apparent fear in her eyes, Bingwen asked her to speak slowly.

She nodded and stuttered to speak, "He… He…" As she was about to continue, Shao Rong moved forward into her field of vision.

As Changying saw Shao Rong, her eyes widened and the words in her mouth turned, "He… The Bitch."

As soon as the words were spoken with her gritted teeth, the voice of the director reverberated, "Cut."

That is when Changying came back to her senses and she looked at the others and her gaze turned back to the place where Shao Rong stood before to find no one in that place.

Shao Rong actually never moved from her place except a single step to cover herself in the shadow of Sis Xiao who stood in the front. She managed to cover all the directions so that neither Changying nor her manager and her assistant couldn't see her. She found all their blindspots before coming and standing in that spot.

Once Changying found no one in that place she was confused but thought she would be scolding her all the way and hence thought that she saw that girl here and shook her head once to regain all her senses.

Once she sought her thoughts, she spoke, "Sorry, director. Let's take another shot."

Since she apologized, the young director, Gao Renshu nodded and said "Once more" and left the topic there.

Once again he said, "Action" and Changying came anxiously to the speaking Ren Weimin and Sun Bingwen and once again she drank the water that Weimin gave her. Once she was about to speak, she saw Shao Rong again.

But this time, she did not curse like the last time but looked at her angrily. Since the director observed the changes in her expressions, the scene couldn't be continued and he shouted, "Cut."

This time, he couldn't control himself and scolded her directly, "Changying. What nonsense were you thinking being dumbfounded over there? Can't you concentrate for a mere few minutes in the scene?"

He was already angry at her because of her late arrival and now that she is making them repeat the scenes without speaking a single dialogue is making him angrier.

The first time he controlled himself because she apologized and it was natural to make a mistake for the first shot. But it was different for the second time. The second time shows lack of professionalism and he couldn't bear that. Though her being late also showed her lack of professionalism, he couldn't speak anything about it because they said that it was because they were struck in traffic.

He couldn't accept the reason but that doesn't mean he could scold them because it would further bring negative effects during filming if the stars make any issue regarding such silly matters.

But regarding filming, there were no qualms in scolding when there was a clear mistake for everyone to see.

Thus he took the chance and exploded but still never crossed his limits and controlled himself after two sentences. Otherwise he would come out as a strict director which he was not.

He wanted to maintain friendly relations with the actors so the productivity could be increased instead of the stress caused by the director on the actors.

That type of direction was his dream since the time he wanted to be a director. That doesn't mean he would leave the ones who don't respect him or his movie.

This lack of respect to the movie on which so many people's lives were dependent was the first thing that he could never tolerate.
