Capítulo 621: Furious King

"Keep moving!"

Raven Thread snapped focus and continued their march towards the manor. Akiol watched as their wings began to fade and they fell to the ground. Descending himself he sheathed Stars and walked amongst the players.

He was unable to "see" the Death Eater. This was a troubling concept. If his {Way of the Galaxy} had an oversight he needed to correct it swiftly. After readjusting it to handle thousands of people he believed there wasn't a chance of something escaping his gaze.

So what exactly caused the Death Eater to slip by unnoticed?

Akiol's brain turned and it didn't take long for him to grasp an idea. The issue was there was no way of verifying it immediately. He would only have to wait for another being capable of escaping his sight to appear.

~~~
"The Death Eater had failed?", a rumbling and commanding tone rang across a dilapidated hall.
"The enemy has suffered significantly less casualties than we had originally expected."
"I was under the impression that we had removed their Third Stage combatants from the picture."
The rumbling voice came from an undead wearing a rusty crown. Its rotten skin clung tightly to its bones. Making it look less like a zombie or a skeleton and more of that of a dehydrated body. Despite the overly fragile look its voice carried a heavy authority. Donned with luxurious furs ordained with gold and silver it almost carried the look of royalty, if it wasn't for the rusted crown. Two glowing lights hovered in its sunken eye sockets to replace the king's long lost pupils.
Kneeling at the face of such authority was the king's most loyal subjects. Third Stage fighters with undying loyalty. Orothus <Soul Controlling Magician>, Sorian <Vampire Lord>, Harreth <Raging Calvary Knight>, and Yaulo <Lingering Purpose>.
Placing his palm on a ruby scepter the king spoke with its authority demanding voice, "What has occurred."
It was not a question despite its wording. Rather it was a demand for the issue to arise and present itself. To his loyal subjects it was a command for them to report without falsifying any information. The first to speak was Sorian, "There was another fighter of Third Stage or higher. His presence I could not detect, but he came to face me directly."
"So you know of him. What is his name."
"I failed to prod with the Framework. I was under the impression that his lackluster presence made him less than a threat."
"And yet."
"He managed to take one of my lives with a single slash. Leaving me with no remaining time to prod the Framework."
"Ohhh? With a single slash? You got bested with a single slash? Hey! Hey!", a pale figure teased.
"Yaulo.", the Undead King spoke a single word.
The pale figure bit her lip, becoming semi-transparent.
Now pleased by the silence the Undead King continued to demand, "What was his appearance."
"An individual with silver hair and eyes, and a sword of unfathomable black."
Orothus' bone finger twitched and he looked at it, "Silver?"
"It was almost white."
The Undead King's gaze moved towards Orothus, "Speak."
"My finger twitched at the description. I feel this individual Sorian speaks of very well may be the same individual responsible for the stealing of my finger, and the delay of my revival."
"Goldlight.", the Undead King's voice deepened and sent shivers through the undead.
"I was under the impression that my underlings had finished off the most skilled warriors already. If this is the case then. . ."
"Those semi-immortals. It seems the words of our latest addition speak true. It seems they look down upon us, relying on their own version of defying death."
Standing from his throne made of rusted swords and crowns the Undead King's voice boomed, "Heed my words! Wipe them out entirely! I will not allow them to trample on my kingdom. You have my authority, utilize your forces in their entirety and remove them to never return."
The Undead King's underlings rose their voices in unison, "Yes my lord!"
~~~

Bwoom~

A green sickly energy burst from the castle and stretched far. Akiol and Raven Thread were encompassed by this green energy, for it made a dome stretching across the entirety of the undead's territory.

'Territory, but it stretches this far?' -Stars

Akiol frowned and stared at the castle. He could feel the energy pricking at him, but no harm was dealt. Territory was supposed to act as a buff to the one who summoned it. Yet this territory was incredibly odd. Raven Thread all received the same notification which caused them to go on high alert.

<The Undead King grows furious at your presence! Your location is now known to all undead!>

<The Undead King's Territory rises at your threat!>

<The Territory will cause all undead to continuously rise!>

"Stars, what would be the best choice to combat a Territory?"

'Your own Territory or a Domain.' -Stars

"I have neither."

Akiol's gaze turned to the distance where the sound of galloping could be heard. Over the hill revealed a cavalry unit of skeleton horses. One stood out, a purple flame replacing its mane. Riding on its back was a headless knight, a Dullahan. When it came to view it stated its name proudly.

< Raging Cavalry Knight states your end is here >

"Foolish of you to take revenge. I will ensure you'll never be able to!"

Skeleton heads made of a whisp-like energy rose from a Lich. Orothus then showcased his own name.

< Soul Controlling Magician claims to put your souls to good use! >

Akiol placed his hand to his ear only for a crackling sound to come forth. His gaze narrowed and he found Raven Thread's leaders failing to contact using the magic spell. Does the Territory negate spells, or was it the presence of another mage?

The magic circles shattered into a sparkling dust before mana reclaimed it. Akiol placed a palm on Stars and hesitated. The two Third Stage enemies were too far apart. If he made a wrong move right now then Raven Thread would be wiped out. There were too many variables. With a lack of information regarding the Third Stage's abilities then this forced him on the defensive to protect Raven Thread.

Just as he was weighing too many options Uranium lifted a flag an placed it into the ground. A burst of mana pushed against the Territory but failed to dispel anything. With it he shouted, "No one is to respawn until backup arrives! We hold this position!"

This was all Akiol needed to hear. Raven Thread was prepared to make the initial sacrifice. Seven Vows looked towards Akiol and nodded. With their original plan now null, and their contact to backup removed, their only option was to hope they caught on and headed towards them as soon as possible. With the threat of two Third Stages on the horizon Raven Thread's chances of survival lay entirely on Akiol's hands.

With such knowledge Seven Vows made the command to sacrifice themselves first. If they held Akiol back at such a crucial moment then this raid would fail before it could truly begin. Fighting with Dot several times made it clear that in A World's Legacy the true force came from powerful individuals and not numbers.

Akiol leapt upwards and unsheathed Stars. Although Raven Thread made the initial sacrifice he wasn't going to leave them entirely helpless. With his own authority he called back to the Dullahan and Lich. Pointing Stars forward he sent a message via the Framework.
