Capítulo 6: . Chapter: future accidents (1)

Kyrith leaned her head against the limousine window, letting her gaze fall upon the sights of the city. Even this late at night the city remained awake, stores still worked, the lights were brighter then ever, people scrambling up and down the streets and music still played loudly.

Kyrith didn't know about anything else at the moment, where she was coming from and where she was going, two questions with no answer. Thinking of how she got here was what stood in Kyrith's mind, was she coming back from a restaurant? Or from shopping? Why was she still here?

Not knowing where you were was a strange question, but at the same time Kyrith felt like she knew deep inside but forgot.

Kyrith put her empty glass down beside herself, Kyrith looked over at her sister, Emily's attention was all caught by the living city. It was pure silence, Kyrith's parents that sat on the other side didn't speak a word. The silence was comforting, having your own space to think was nice, thinking about your own thoughts. Thinking was also a dangerous place too, if your not aware of where your going.

Kyrith checked the time on her phone, it was 9:31, Kyrith waited to see the time tick to the next minute to put her phone back.

Everything was still until Kyrith's limousine jerked to the side. Kyrith's body smashed into her window and she fell over, the sound of the car's wheels screeching against the pavement was painful for the ear. The limousine felt as if it was going to fall on its side until it stopped so suddenly, it felt like gravity had stopped working for the moment, Kyrith's body was lunched forward by force and landed onto the limousine floor. Holding her dizzy head up with relief the limousine had stopped moving, Kyrith reached out for the door handle for support.

Kyrith carefully stood up shacking, the bruise on the side of her head made thinking difficult, opening the car door, Kyrith almost fell down on to her knees.

The sound of screaming and shouting was overwhelming, in the middle of the intersection were two cars up against each other. Smoke and fumes drifted in the cool air, a small flame strived to burn off the two collided cars.

Kyrith looked back into the limousine, her stepmother was lying down with her hands above her head, her father and sister were in their own corners shielding themselves too.

The sounds of distant sirens drew nearer, a crowd of people surrounded the area, the bodyguard erupted from the car and to Kyrith's side. The bodyguard pulled each of her family members out of the limousine in case it would catch on fire, he was checking and hoping their was no case of death within the Lilinore family.

The police and ambulances arrived, the whole thing lasted so long with the time of a single second, Kyrith's hesd grew dizzy, the lights blurred in her vision, and everything just felt to far now.

Kyrith, hoping things would disappear for her, take her out of that mess, receiving her wish when her senses disappeared with her collapsing body.

Kyrith jolted up to a sitting position, her breathing was heavy and so was her mind. Kyrith looked around he room, she was still in her bed, in her room and not in the intersection in the city. Kyrith's breathing relaxed, still sitting up tho, Kyrith began to pinch herself to make sure she was awake for good.

It was just a dream, a nightmare, or the possible future? Kyrith remembered every little detail of the dream, the whole car crash seemed so real, now it was nothing more then a memory and a warning.

It was such a big relief, a weight lifted off Kyrith's shoulders but at the same time, only more weight was added. The responsibility to avoid it now was greater.

Kyrith lied back down, trying to remember everything she could in the future, she did remember witnessing a car crash. That memory was faint but still made out the shape of one over-speeding and the other making an early turn. More memories flooded back, like the memory or Lucas Smithson.

Kyrith met Lucas when her mother was invited by her friend, Ms Smithson to a small party in about a year. Kyrith's mother decided to take her two daughters, Emily immediately wanted Lucas for herself. Lucas was a good looking guy, three years older then Kyrith, Kyrith had no interest of getting to know him, that was a mistake she soon realized. Emily told Lucas lies about Kyrith so he can hate her, Emily even humiliated Kyrith by tripping her and making Kyrith spill tea all over Lucas. Emily didn't just tell Lucas lies, she told Kyrith lies about Lucas, like how be hated her weird hair color and thought she was annoying.

Emily fed Lucas and Kyrith lies, which they both believed, Kyrith and Lucas could've been friends if it weren't for Emily. Maybe this time Kyrith would get to him first. Kyrith now knew it was just a trap and wouldn't fall for the same mistake twice.

Kyrith also remembered when her father was going on a ‚business trip', Kyrith didn't believe it tho now that she thought of it. Her father went away for a whole week, Emily used that time to bully Kyrith, Kyrith was weak back then, it's strange how a two-year distance can do so much to a person, but it wasn't the time, it was death that changed Kyrith for the better. Kyrith remembered that Emily ‚accidentally' tripped Kyrith and she fell halfway down the stairs during that time.

It was hard to imagine Emily had so many degrees of evil, all most as much evil as the devil himself, like one of the devils mere children possessed Emily.

Kyrith Checked the time, it was 6:46. Kyrith got up at eight, still almost and hour before she had to get up. Kyrith had no intention of going back to sleep in fear of continuing the same sinful dream.

The sky began to light up, a blue and orange tinted color filled the sky. Even in the winter, the snow was mild here, never reaching extreme cold temperatures. Kyrith made her bed and put on her clothes for the day, she might as well get an early start to her day.

Kyrith decided she would finish her book ‚Harry Potter', she was on ‚the order of the phoenix' and hated the new defense against the dark arts teacher. Kyrith managed to finish it in the remaining time till morning.

„Did you two sleep well last night?" asked Kyrith's mother. Emily gave a light nod, Kyrith did the same, no one had to know about the strange dream, no one would believe it.

Again silence was the only thing heard, until Kyrith's mother began to speak up again.

„your father and I will be taking the two of you shopping for a new dress, since it is almost the new year"

„When will we be leaving?" asked Emily.

„In the afternoon. We would come back late at night"

We would come back late at night, Kyrith's mothers words echoed through her mind, maybe they could leave now and come back late in the afternoon? It was worth a shot.

„Mother, would it be possible to leave in the morning and come back in the afternoon?"

„No Kyrith, me and your father already decided the time. I apologize"

Kyrith didn't want to argue with her stepmother, she would get nowhere with arguing and it would be impolite and disrespectful of Kyrith. Kyrith had to bare with it, she could still find a way to avoid it, if she was able to do it in the past unexpectedly, she could do it again now.

Kyrith tried to relax for the rest of the day, filling her mind up with books, tea and thinking of a dress she would like, a white angelic dress would be nice, maybe one with a faint flower pattern would do. The cottage core aesthetic filled her mind, sticking with one theme was good, but every now and then Kyrith would chose a more cultural dress for the sake of it.

Afternoon came quickly, faster then Kyrith expected, she braced the moments before disaster.

Both Kyrith and her sister wore something elegant, her stepmother wore only shades of grey as that was her style. The black limousine pulled over, the driver opened the doors for each of them and closed them where they all sat inside. A bodyguard sat in the front with the driver, the same bodyguard that hustled them out the crashed limousine.

The limousine took off, Kyrith kept fiddling with her handbag until her mother told her to stop. Kyrith kept talking to herself in her mind, whispering to calm down and that she still had time, it was only three, lots of time to spare.

No one would ever no what Kyrith is dealing with, and it's best if it stayed that way.

Kyrith would do what she could in her power to avoid the accident.
