Capítulo 30: What's a Red Level Doing Here?
Wuji Street!
Lan Xiang inhaled a deep breath, taking in all the familiar scents.
"Ah, it's been too long since I've been here."
Lan Xiang looked like he belonged here. Meanwhile, Lu Xifa stumbled around, like a fish out of water. She had no idea what she was doing.
"Xifa, hold on tight! We don't want to lose each other now, do we?" With a smile, Lan Xiang extended his hand, which Lu Xifa gripped as hard as she could.
Wuji Street was busy, with people congesting either side of the street. Vendors occupied the sidewalks, leaving no way for any vehicle to drive through the street.
Scents of street food flew past Lan Xiang's nose as he sniffed them, along with the stench of sweaty people... Lan Xiang shook his head. "I really don't miss this aspect of the district."
Lu Xifa kept on hitting passersby left and right, as her grip on Lan Xiang's hand grew tighter. "What are you looking for? It's too crowded here!"
"Just wait a minute."
Lan Xiang was almost fully sure that he would find techniques in this district. In fact, there was already a place in his mind he could distinctly remember where the techniques should be. If there weren't any techniques there, there wouldn't be anywhere else.
"This way."

"You were so strong yesterday!"
A girl caressed Ning Luoxue's arms as she wrapped her hands around it. She did a little smudge on his bicep.
Ning Luoxue licked his lips as he caught sight of the girl's massive mountains. Those were the only reason he became interested in her anyway. Her face was serviceable at best.
"Ah, if only Xie Jian was my wife."
Right now, he was taking a stroll around Wuji Street, to find a gift for his grandfather's birthday. Even though he regarded it as some sort of low class district, almost all the money he had gotten from his mother to buy a gift was gone. He had no choice but to compromise and buy something cheap. Who knows, maybe he could find an ancient antique here?
Hehe, where did the money go? When Ning Luoxue took another glance at the woman beside him, it became obvious.
Pushing his hair backwards, he continued walking aimlessly, only looking at the wares that the vendors sold and not touching or examining any of them.
"Hm, this seems interesting."
He grabbed what seemed to be an "ancient dragon sculpture" made out of "thousand-year old wood". He took one glance at the bottom, and there was a little bit of sticker left from the price tag...
"Fake."
"Fake."
"This is obviously fake."
Ning Luoxue rolled his eyes. There really was nothing to buy in this godforsaken place!
Welp, guess I need to ask for more money...
As he shrugged, he took one more glance across the whole district. Ning Luoxue widened his eyes.
"Ooh wee, that's a beautiful girl if I ever seen one, damn..."
The girl beside Ning Luoxue frowned in displeasure as she heard his mutterings. "Hey, what do you mean? You got me right here."
Ning Luoxue pushed her off his arm. She fell to the ground. "Bitch, you only a quarter as beautiful as that girl. Stay away from me from now on."
"Eh? What?" Before she could come to her senses, Ning Luoxue was already gone.
A woman in a suit pushed her glasses up as she held the book on her chest a little tighter. She felt a presence approaching her.
When she turned to look, Ning Luoxue was already right beside her.
"Damn... you're so fine." Ning Luoxue's eyes traveled around her body, staying for longer on the two most important parts.
The woman shivered. She didn't know how to deal with this situation. Her bodyguard wasn't here to accompany her like usual. Of course, she sneaked out, why would her bodyguard be here?
Right as she had no idea what to do, her eyes came across a certain book, one that someone was holding. She immediately ignored Ning Luoxue and headed for the man that had the book.
"Hey, where are you going?" Ning Luoxue followed along with a smirk.
.....
A few minutes ago.
Lan Xiang and Lu Xifa arrived.
In front of them was an old man sitting in front of a rug. The rug was full of old books, being advertised as replicas or exact copies of ancient manuals from the first era of cultivators!
Well, there was no real way to verify that claim...
Except for Lan Xiang.
He grabbed one. It was wrapped in a plastic covering, like it was bought—ahem, 'brought' from a bookstore.

"...So I need to buy it first? Which should I buy then?"
He only had more or less 50 dollars left in his pocket after buying all of those manuals from the old man. Each one of these manuals in front of him cost 10 dollars. That meant he had to be conservative!
"If there is any, I should buy the high rarity techniques. That way, I get more tech points."
While the old man took a nap while sitting, Lan Xiang continued to browse through the books, hoping a rare find might come out of the blue.
While all of this was happening, Lu Xifa was confused beside him. 'He came all the way to the capital... for this? What are these trashy techniques? Only desperate people would buy them!'
She shook her head. Seems like a gigantic waste of time and money, if you ask me.
Suddenly, Lan Xiang fell over beside her.
"Hey, what's gotten into you?"
Lan Xiang stayed frozen, even as he took Lu Xifa's hand and pulled himself up. He glanced left and right cautiously before picking up the book that fell from his hands.
"What's this... a red level technique?!"
