The downpour yesterday had subsided into little sprinkles. Johan spent the entire day mulling over what he should do with the pending 'Return To Work' order from Blue-League Mortgage. Now that Adrian had backed out of their three-way setup, helping Russell with their previous plan didn't seem complicated anymore.

Despite feeling elated at Russell's confession, the ridiculous demand still bothered him. Coming out to his family had never crossed his mind until Russell proposed they should. Part of him had an unexplainable excitement that Russell was willing to go through something he deemed impossible, but there's still the irrefutable fear of bloodshed if things went awry.

Leaned against the bed's headboard, Johan looked at Russell, who was busy playing a first-person shooter online game on his laptop. The sound of digital gunshots filled the silence of his bedroom, and he remained ignored until Russell's character was shot dead.
