Capítulo 189: A mystery, A puzzle. Nyx's Ana.
Sabastian was trying to swing his sword.
But every time he tries to move with force, his wounds hurt.
Putting the sword back on its sheath, Sabastian sighed.
"Are you seriously trying to swing your sword in that condition?"
Turning towards the owner of the voice, Sabastian only shrugged.
Nyx arrived in her wheelchair at the training room.
"I was trying to get done 600 strikes at least. But as you can see, I can't even do 6... It's nothing, I just wanted to distract myself."
Stopping her wheelchair beside Sabastian, Nyx gave a bowl of French-fries to Sabastian.
She made two bowls of French-fries for her and Aaron, but Aaron had some work to do and wasn't able to come to the headquarters.
Nyx can't eat all of it, so she came to find Sabastian to dump her excess amount of French-fries on him.
"Ooh, thanks! I was kind of hungry." Sabastian said taking the bowl from Nyx.
"You're lucky that my other-self isn't here." Nyx commented feeling annoyed.
Aaron was hungry but he wasn't able to eat the French-fries
"Hahaha!" Sabastian laughed.
"Lucky, lucky!"
Putting a couple of fries on her mouth, Nyx spoke up.
"Why urh yoo sho debresh?"
"Don't speak with food in your mouth! That girl... Before coming here, I went to visit her. She's awfully quiet, I don't know what to do. She's depressed and silent." Sabastian sighed before replying to Nyx.
"At least, she's not ignoring me like. She is also starting to eat her food on time. There's some improvement..."
Nyx doesn't interact with children much, the only child she interacts with is, Yong-Hyeon.
Thinking of Yong-Hyeon, Nyx thought of something.
"Yong-Hyeon and that girl are of the same age, why don't we let Yong-Hyeon and her meet? She is surrounded by adults, maybe that's why she doesn't express herself much. Kids are more interactive with their kind." Nyx said to Sabastian.
Sabastian thought that Nyx's idea, kind of make sense.
So he decided to let the little girl and Yong-Hyeon meet up at the weekend.
"You're right, let's make them meet at the weekend." Sabastian replied.
They were silent for a few minutes before Nyx spoke up.
"Zulkerrnyn and Ian left to conquer Stardust city. Terry has already conquered the east coast. We currently have control of 1/5 of the country! Nameless is growing fast, with Ana helping Erina's branch further by acquiring the slaves from the Cage. The slaves from the cage are treated properly, so they pledged their loyalty to Nameless. You know how these people are, they are more faithful and loyal when we treat them right. 74% of them joined the intelligence branch and 10% joined the security under Ian. The rest are not fit for any of the branches we have, so we decided to make a service company and give them honest jobs. At least, we have loyal people in our organisation."
Nyx gave a small brief about what's happening to Nameless to Sabastian.
Sabastian nodded hearing Nyx.
Nameless is growing fast and steadily.
There's no problem with expansion, but they are still considered weak comparing with the top organisations.
"You're thinking about Ana, right?" Sabastian asked Nyx.
"Mhmm." Nyx hummed in response.
"She is a mystery to me... I don't know what she suffered at the Tevittar tribe, and what I've seen so far from her recent actions? It's not something I want to think about, Basti... I don't know what kind of place the 7 pardoned cities are, but hearing about them reminds me of the slums of our previous world... Ana, she is a mystery box, you can never tell what she can give and what she has on herself. I can't read her! It's kind of scary... My feelings for Ana is growing every moment, Basti. The more I try to understand her, more puzzling she becomes. The more I understand her, the more I feel my heart hurts for her! What did she suffer for her to become like this?" Nyx opened-up to Sabastian.
Sabastian didn't know what to say.
Ever since young, to Sabastian, Ana was a complete mystery.
She isn't like anyone he ever met.
Ana believed Sabastian without questioning if he was crazy or something when he told her about his past life.
Who would do that?
Anyone would question his sanity after listening to him rambling about past lives and magical worlds, but Ana didn't.
Her questions were more like what kind of life he lived and trivial questions such as 'How does magic work? What kind of magic you have? Are dragons huge like we have in our fantasy books? Do the cross-species relationship exists? What kind of an animal it would be if a cat and dog have sex, and it gives birth?'
Ana also understood Sabastian's loneliness.
Thinking about Ana, Sabastian is as same as Nyx.
He can't understand Ana.
"I never understood her but she understood me. She has her reasons why she doesn't share her past with any of us, maybe it's hard for her? I don't know. But my bro, whatever it is? Don't think too much of it! She's the Ana you love and the best friend I grew up with. That's all we need to know and understand." Sabastian said to, Nyx.
Nyx sighed before nodding.
"Yeah, she's our friend, family and my love."
Changing the topic, Sabastian asked Nyx about the Declan Harrington guy.
"What plans do you have for that bastard who put us in wheelchairs, bro?"
Nyx smirked.
"I have many. Been reading some novels to get some ideas, so I have plenty. Some cliches plots are good for him, right?" Nyx said asking Sabastian for his opinion.
"Hahaha! I guess so." Sabastian laughed before nodding to Nyx.
"But it wouldn't please, my girlfriend or my sister, you know. But they can lecture us later, it's our sweet revenge! We will play with him to our heart's content. What do you say?"
"Yes, it's been a long time since I played with my enemies."
The two talked and planned their upcoming sweet revenge!

A man and a woman were having tea in a garden.
The man just read some reports from his subordinates, about Nyx and what kind of problem she caused this time.
"Honey, what's wrong?" The woman asked seeing her husband's annoyed expression.
"Our niece is causing trouble, what else? She has quite the temper, unlike her parents. The Jadeite mine in Myanmar collapsed. It's obviously, Nyx's work. There's no evidence pointing at her, but I'm sure it's her. If it was Cassandra, she would have targetted something where I would take a loss at. This is just a Jadeite mine, a gift given to us from the Ji's. We will not suffer any loss, it's profit to us even if we sell it in this condition. So there's nothing to worry about. Hmpf, a child without proper guidance! Look how she turned up."
"Yes, you're right. There's no loss even if we sell it. Hmm. But the Galvins are now useless to us, Cassandra certainly upped her game! Even the recent attack on our son was also unexpected. She is becoming more threatening than she was, my love."
The woman narrowed her eyes.
The woman's name is Bethanie Prince. She is Lyle prince's wife.
Lyle frowned.
"You're right, the attack was a surprise. Unfortunately, the daughter of my ba*tard brother still lives from her 'accident'. It's surprising, that she almost died. Haaais, that Declan boy didn't expect Nyx to get hurt, he only wanted to make her feel scared. She should have died, hah, our luck is really bad. Tch!" He clicked his tongue thinking about how unfortunate it is that Nyx didn't die from that explosion.
"Well, for now, we will see how far she can go. I will be going to the office, love. I don't think I can make it home early tonight. Sorry!" Lyle said to Bethanie before getting up.
Bethanie got up from her chair and approach Lyle.
"There's nothing to apologise, you're busy after all."
She leaned onto Lyle before kissing him.
Responding to Bethanie's kiss, Lyle said to her after breaking the kiss.
"Then I will be leaving, love."
