The shore of Aeaea loomed before us, strange and unsettling. The landscape was like nothing I'd ever seen—a bizarre fusion of ancient stone and sleek, almost mechanical structures that glowed faintly with an otherworldly light.
Beside me, Xavion stepped onto the shore, his movements somehow sharper, more deliberate. As he moved forward, a sudden shiver went through me. He seemed… different. His muscles were taut, his gaze sharper than usual, a fierce gleam in his eyes that wasn't quite Xavion.
Jayla's voice trembled slightly. "Xianne… look at his eyes."
I turned to see that his eyes were a deep, molten amber, glowing in the twilight with an intensity that made my pulse quicken. His face had a fiercer look to it, almost predatory, and I realized with a thrill and a chill that Cleitor was emerging, lending his strength to Xavion in a way I'd never seen before.
Updating old chapters, as I am currently revising. Thank you!
