"Watch out!"

Devin quickly stepped to the side with Angeal in his arms, the four hardbound books falling to the floor as the shelf was about to tip forward as well. With his left arm wrapped around Angeal, his right arm pushed the shelf back into place, making Angeal sigh as she realized that they were almost hurt.

Devin then quickly looked at Angeal. With worry in his eyes, he furrowed his brows, tucking a tendril of Angeal's hair behind her ear as he asked her a question.

"Are you alright?"

"Yes." Angeal answered, finding his purple eyes mesmerizing as she stared straight into it, her heart racing in her chest as her hand was on his chest, feeling his heart thump as well. "I'm alright."

Both of them stared at each other straight into each other's eyes. With Angeal's heart thumping hard in her chest as she was inside Devin's arms, she couldn't believe that she would feel this way when she had experienced being in his arms a lot of times.
