Itachi cultivated for the final month before he would be participating in the direct examination that you had to be a genius to pass. As one of the best magic schools in china 2nd only to the imperial academy that xue'er attended, you needed many recommendations to join.
While this wouldn't be too difficult, Itachi would rather just get easy entry through direct examination rather than waste time bothering with all this recommendation crap.
Considering either being a mid tier mage, or having a rare element could get you directly entered he wasn't too worried as he had plenty for both categories.
In this time he had managed to bring wind and healing magic up to mid tier. Now he could use his mid tier wind magic to send out tornados which was pretty badass even if it wasn't too destructive.
Furthermore, his spiritual seed evolved into soul grade and its effects were around x5 damage increaes.
This would quite literally sweep the competition as he pondered whether he should show off mid tier wind, or show off his summon to get direct emittance.
If he did the latter, he would not use Kayda because he wanted to save that surprise for the freshman competition between the summon element class and the rest of the students he thought smirking as he imagined the faces of the scared shitless students facing the almost demi commander level Kayda.
While some would be worried at revealing they had a dragon contract beast Itachi was not too worried as no one would be able to steal her.
If he died the contracted beast died along with him so even if some super tier summon mage wanted it they would be unable to do anything.
Also Itachi was already quite confident in fighting super tier mages if he went all out, so technically his decision had some logic behind it.
It will make many people concerned though, so he figured he wouldn't show off too much and tell Kayda to hold back. He could tell she was getting ready to evolve to the childhood stage.
The good thing about having a high potential monster such as her was that she would gain strength naturally with no need for the beast soul blood and bone to evolve her.
He let her out quite a few times, but he had to move out into a secluded forrest as to not startle anyone. He discovered she was quite a yandere loli dragon as one time when he was hunting, a warrior ranked monster had come up behind him.
With his sharp hearing he turned around with plenty of time wondering if he should test his strong physical strength alone on the strong golden ape or his magic.
Before he could decide however Kayda thinking his master was in danger furiously slammed into it, as she viciously shredded it with her razor sharp talons as she screamed "NO ONE HURTS BIG BROTHER!!!!". Moving on his healing element had gained become alot stronger.
When his healing element advanced to mid tier he gained the ability to make healing butterflys that would flit around himself or whatever target he set them to heal.
While Itachi did not necessarily need it with his great self healing, it would be good for allies to put on if they were hurt so Itachi didn't have to personally do anything just letting his butterflys do all the work.
During this time he had also raised both lightning and fire to rank 3 unlocking some of the most powerful attacks of mid tier.
The first was the lightning mid tier 3rd level madness dance which resulted in many different powerful thunderbolts falling from the sky with its numbers of bolts farther increased by his special spirit seed ability . The bolts converge on the single location that is his target from all directions annihilating the opponent.
This was especially useful since defense covering all directions was alot weaker and easier to break, so the opponent would not be able to block it by simply shielding in front of themselves.
The next was the strong mid tier 3rd level Intense fist: 9 Palaces which surrounded the opponent with 9 pillars of fire in a triangle shape, that Itachi could control to move around almost like having 9 fiery tornados.
Furthermore both seeds increased with this upgrade with the soul grade seeds having an 8x power increase, and he had started gaining control of the domain of his spirit seeds. An ability that could weaken opponents moves when using other elements in his area.
With extra warrior rank sould from hunting, he also upgraded his wind magic novice tier magic to level 5 making it have a 4x damage effect on the base element combined with her 5x spirit seed which made his tornados more like a mini hurricane.
Walking outside he walked down with a peaceful expression on his face Itachi enjoyed the scenery of the beautiful city with many parks and shops.
He made his way to the university stopping at its grand gate while the rest of it was blocked off with an ornate brick wall more for show. Checking in with the guard, he was let in walking along the stone path of the univeristy as he looked around a bit.
Worthy of its name, it was very spacious with a beautiful campus. It had many modern buildings including a large arena where he guessed the freshman tournament would be held.
He walking into the building directed to him by the guard coming across a relatively large practice field loooked over by three people incuding Dean Xiao who introduced himself at the center.
Getting the formalities aside the director told him they were currently deciding between him, and a strong earth mage Luo Song. Already knowing where this was going Itachi smirked a bit as the fatty walked forward arrogantly. Nodding his head to the left judge who Itachi had remembered him being related to.
Giving him the go ahead to start summoning they watched him intently to decide whether he was worth letting in or not. Itachi decided he would show off a bit to lessen the shock they would receive in around a months time at the freshman festival.
Instead of summoning a strong minion ranked beast like he originally planned to, he decided to summon a standard warrior level sand fox that gracefully stepped down looking around proudly that Itachi decided to summon it.
Turning away from the dropped Jaws of the judges, the cute yet deadly fox turned around before nuzzling into Itachi who petted it a bit chuckling at its un-monster like behavior.
He had first met this animal in the summon dimension who had seemed to have instantly taken a liking Itachi as it followed him around the rest of time he spent in the summon dimension.
Seeing him barehandedly take down a Silver Giant Rhinoceros warrior easily it began to idolize Itachi becoming increasing familiar with him.
Now everytime he returned to the summoning dimension, it was one of he first things he saw, and he had already summoned it out a couple of times.
Starting to enjoy the presence of this fox, he had it set for his go to summon for his draft ability as he named it Felix who was quite happy with its name.
He would likely try to upgrade it to commander rank in the future as he still had the beast blood bone and soul of the Darkwing Wolf which would be perfect for it.
Returning to the judges they were silent for a good 30 seconds in shock before the silence was broken by 1 excited judge to the right jumping out of his seat "He's a genius!!!!" he shouted almost hyperventilating
As director Xiao stood out of his chair as well, "Indeed he is" he said doing his best to remain calm to keep his dignity as headmaster intact.
Facing Itachi he said "you have met and exceeded the qualifications for direct entry into our university." Pondering for a few moments he said "You should be a mid tier mage with how powerful your summon was right?"
Itachi not trying to hide answered yes. "Whats your other element?" he said wondering what the young had awoken.
To save himself the trouble of having to hide too many elements in the future, Itachi decided to reveal two other elements under the cover of his past excuse with the initial awakening two elements talent.
Determining which elements he wanted to reveal, Itachi decided on Fire and wind. Before turning and saying "director, I have the rare talent of initially awakening two elements so I currently have mid tier summoning and fire while I recently awakened wind." As he said this he showed off the two glows green and red to prove his point.
If director Xiao was surprised before, now he was completely shocked as this talented student not only had mid tier summoning, but also mid tier fier as well as a newly awakened wind element.
The potential of this student was insane. Looking at the record of this student, He was only 17 yet he had such strong magic and he also noticed he was from Bo city, so he had definitely fought off many monsters.
Recovering himself Director Xiao replied "Very well new semester will start in a week on september 1st I will send you your dorm building and number, so you can move in." "No its okay, I live very close and I will just convene over to school every morning no need to worry about me".
Suddenly their conversation was interrupted by an arrogant voice that Itachi knew was coming "that little fox doesn't look too impressive" fatty Luo Song arrogantly said. Casting his mid tier ice magic Ice chains shot out of the ground rushing towards Felix who snorted in disdain.
Choosing not to dodge like he could have easily done Felix instead chose to shatter this runts weak magic with a single paw, before menacingly advancing on the scared shitless ice mage. As the fox moved forward a yellow stain spread on the fat spoiled kids cackys as he was rooted to the spot in fear.
Seeing this the fox's eyes turned even more derisive puzzled why this weak trash would dare provoke his lord who when sparring with him beat him with his physical body easily, let alone using any magic.
Mad at this waste of time, Felix ran back to be at his masters side sitting down cutely at his side like a pet dog completely different from the scary nature he shown earlier.
Acting as if nothing had happened Dean Xiao asked one last question "I saw your record, your from Bo city right?"
Sighing Itachi nodded "I see. I see no despair on your face, so I'm glad do not seem depressed. I can tell you played a big part in helping the city fend off the horrific attack."Not confirming anything Itachi only thanked him before leaving through the door.
Glancing at the summonng teacher Jiang Yunming he said "make sure to teach him well" he will undoubedtely become one of the strongest in our unniversity in the future. He turned to the mid tier ice mage who he would normally be surprised at, but after Itachi he felt nothing "you boy, you are barely qualified to be directlly admitted.
You better cultivate hard as to not embarass our university" he said coldy disgusted at the piss covered fatty.
Itachi left the campus with a carefree expression on his face as he had nothing worrying. His sister had already awakened the healing element and she was currently studying at another university.
His father was also doing good having found a new job in Shanghai. He missed Xue'er alot, but it would be good for both of them to seperately increase their strength for a while before meeting up again. Itachi already planned to go visit her sometime in the near future, so he could be with her along with seeing her progress.
Overall, Itachi was quite excited for university as he felt this place would be quite fun. The Pearl Institute was divided into two campuses. The Azure Pearl Campus accommodated all the first-year University students and all the old students at Primary level(Novice).
The Main Pearl Campus was only for those who had stepped into the Intermediate level(Mid Tier).
The Main Campus was naturally the genuine core of the Pearl Institute. Gathered in this place were all of their outstanding young Magicians from every part of the nation. At same time, it was also the place with the most ferocious competition.
The Azure Campus could be considered a bit more fair. Gathered in this place were the new students who had entered the Pearl Institute, as well as the old students who had not made the breakthrough to the Intermediate level.
Itachi already knew there would be a few intermediate tier mages at the beast competition, so hopefully it wouldn't be too boring if enough people came at him.
A week quickly passed as the start of the term was finally here. Feeling a bit bored as he passed by the others, he decided to be a bit of a jackass, he turning on wind track to his highest level which was a staggering x24 the normal level with his spirit seed and star upgrades combined.
After all, he wouldn't feel right if he didn't carry on the name The Great Demon that would be known to all after the tournament in a couple weeks.
Making sure he didn't control the wind at all, he dashed forward past the surrounding. Students were shocked when the young looking student with messy brown hair practically disappeared in front of their eyes before a fierce went blew over them.
He passed particularly close to one cute brown haired girl whose skirt got completely flipped up revealing a pair of sexy purple panties covering her ample figure. Passing right next to her, he brushed his lips against her ear sexily as he whispered "Purple" before bursting out laughing as he saw her blushing expression. He then walked away like nothing had ever happened.
The brown haired girl angrily followed him quickly catching up "you think this is funny?" she said angrily looking at this athletic looking guy who didn't seem to have a care in the world. Looking around, Itachi saw many males glaring at him like he had just killed their family.
Seeing this he looked back towards the girl "your quite popular arn't you" he said smirking as he watched the different hormone driven males hatefully glare at him for being so rude to their idol.
"Hmmph I am quite famous. It's no surprise they would be enamored by me. Now are you going to give me compensation for doing such a rude thing" she said pompously sounding like a typical rich girl who has lived in comfort her entire life.
"Compensation? I'll give you 5 yuan because that's how much I think my view was worth" obviously lying since the girl looked quite nice, not that he would inflate her ego more than it already is.
"WHAT?" she blurted out shocked how someone had called her unattractive. That had NEVER happened in her life yet this rude insolent cretin had called ugly.
That reminds me, I'm late. Gotta run" he said shooting out as a blur. A few love struck young males ran after him angrily yelling "How dare you disrespect Goddess Mu Nu Jiao's" as they threw a couple pathetic spells after his long gone figure.
Walking into the summon classroom he took a seat before promptly.... falling asleep. You didn't really think he would pay attention right? It was already a miracle Itachi decided to show up.
He had already memorized a bunch of textbooks and he could recognize most known beasts at a glance along with having a better understanding of the summon element than this small time summon teacher could ever hope to compare.
Soon the 6 othe boys came in with the teacher at the same time since they had been sharing a dorm together. Walking in, Jiang Yunming was shocked as it was the very first day, yet here the genius who headmaster had entrusted him, Itachi sleeping without a care in the world.
Two of the boys whispered something to each other as they smirked quietly creeping forward planning to prank this arrogant student who was sleeping on the first day of class. Suddenly blown against the wall hard the two had all wind knocked out of them as they laid on the ground wheezing, struggling to bring air into their lungs.
Slowly opening his eyes Itachi put on mock expression of horror as he said "Oh no are you okay? I have trouble holdling back when Im startled like that" he lowering the outstretched finger that had insta cast a powerful blast of wind.
Shaking his head at this scene Jiang Yunming just told everyone to sit down as explained many of the plans for this year. After another 5 minutes of mock attention, Itachi quickly fell back asleep receiving many glares as the teacher wisely chose to ignore it seeing what had happened to the last people who woke him up who were still clutching their sides sure to be sore with a bruised chest for a couple days.
Finishing up the class Itachi went home to cultivate and thats pretty much how the next two weeks went. Nothing notable happened besides his wind element reaching tier 2 for mid tier as his wind tornado grew stronger with the added effect of wind blades inside cutting at the opponent while they were thrown around.
Waking up at the day of the competition Itachi glanced at his watch <10:06>. Yawning he got ready and walked to get dine in breakfast across the street. After all, the competition only started 6 minutes ago. He had plenty of time to eat he thought with a evil smile crossing his face.
Imagining the panicked summon students without their strongest student made him quite happy sadistically enough. Itachi had easily earned the title of the strongest after he summoned Felix making the other students summons back away submissively scared to even look at the large fox for fear of him getting offended.

Hopping the brick wall, he walked up to the stadium savoring the great taste of the pancakes, eggs, and bacon he had just eaten. He once again glanced at his watch <10:45> hopefully they are not too useless he thought wondering disdainfully if they could even last 45 minutes without being defeated by a bunch of weak novice and recently awakened mid tier students.
Moving into the stadium he slipped past the guards not bothering to check in. Surprisingly enough he walked in at the perfect time as two of the summoners beasts had been restrained by the mid tier ice mage Luo Song who looked quite proud showing off his mid tier ice magic quite in contrast to the image of him in Itachi"s mind as the spoiled weakminded brat who pissed his pants at the mere sight of a warrior ranked beast.
Everyone began to believe it was over and that they had won the competition when suddenly a lazy voice rang out across the ground "Well I guess its my turn". Itachi said with little enthusiasm as he stood up from sitting down in a shadow at the edge of the arena unnoticed by everyone.
"Had he been there the whole time?!?" many students whispered shocked as Itachi struggled to maintain a straight face. Be there the whole time? Pffft he had snuck out of the stadium tunnel while everyones eyes were on the fighting and he found a nice shadow that made it difficult for anyone to see him if he didn't move much.
Many people although surprised still scoffed thinking this guy was quite full of himself thinking he had the ability to take care of a mid tier mage such as Luo San who had previously taken out 3 of the other summon beasts with little effort.
Turning to face their strong ice mage representative everybody was shocked to find his knees shaking as he stared at Itachi eyes full of fear. Turning around he booked it as fast as he could with his fat body fearfully shouting I Concede!!! as he ran out the stadium unlikely that he would stop any time soon.
Disappointed at this reaction he hopefully glanced at the rest of the audience before saying "He must have remembered something important he had to do. It's a shame, but who's up next?
My summon isn't that scary, she's actually quite cute" Itachi said technically not lying as when you got past the now 5 meter long jet black body covered in scales with fierce teeth and talons, Kayda was actually quite cute as she acted like a little imouto always asking Itachi for headpats.
He distinctively told Kayda not to kill anyone as well as ignore any insults towards him because when people insulted her master she... got a little violent, and Itachi learned his lesson to be more careful after that incident last week where some mid tier mage met in the forrest nearby had insulted Itachi seeing his young appearance. He said something about how a weakling like him shouldn't be here which Kayda did not like one bit.
The mid tier mage clearly had alot of pride, and I guess you could say everyone has that fatal weakness as he didn't even notice the sharp talon flashing towards his neck. Luckilly Itachi had quick reaction speed, so he had time to activate telekinesis and prevent blood from getting on his nice clothes.
On the bright side at least he exposed this... violent tendency early on so he can do his best to keep her away from the yandere route. Although a bit later he had caught her cleaning her blood covered claws off muttering something about arrogant fools bad mouthing master.
Ehh it was probably nothing. Going back to the present many people were relieved at his words saying his summon was cute while the smarter among the crowd frowned at his vague use of words along with his mocking smile. They all came to one conclusion, this guy was not to be underestimated.
Deciding to give them a little motivation he turned to Dean Xiao. "I know that we have to defeat at least 100 people to keep our resources, but where is the motivation in that? How about if I defeat 200 people the summoning class gets the resources of all the other classes?"
Dean Xiao smiled a bit at this playing along "Your right thats quite unfair. I agree to your request. If you can defeat 200 oponents summon element will get all the other elemental classes resources" he said caring little for the feelings of them as he just wants to see how much Itachi improved.
Smirking a bit at the dean he said "You already know my main draft beast, but I am also a mid tier summon. Didn't you ever wonder what my contract beast was?"
The dean shot up rigid in his seat trying and failing to remain calm. After seeing how powerful the draft beast fox was, Dean Xiao had assumed he put all of his effort into it while not yet using his contract space, but it seemed he couldn't be more wrong as that confident face of Itachi did not seem to be bluffing.
Their conversation was for all to hear and the audience was greatly surprised at him being a mid tier summon mage and they could see the visual anticipation director Xiao had on his face as they wondered what Itachi's contract beast would be.
Intimidated at this showing no one wanted to be the first to go up as the previous students on the field backed away to the edge not wanting to be the first to attack.
Smirking a bit Itachi said the thing to the nearly 5000 students in the stadium that set them off. "Why don't you all just come at once. 200, 500, 5000 numbers don't make too much of a difference when all their is to fight is a bunch of weak students who have yet to travel out of their safe little bubble in this city.
Angered the first ones to show up was a group of five students led by a student called Long Aotian angrily shouting out "I want to see why your so confident". Many other students jumped in with a few moving to the back almost as if they were seeing if he was worthy for them to step in.
As one of those people waiting near the back, Mu Nu Jiao fiercely glared at this guy. He was the same one who made her spill her latte earlier in the semester as well as annoying her multiple times.
Planning revenge she flirted with him quite openly one time in front of her little male fan club. A few followed Itachi into the forrest just as she planned, but sadly enough they were apparently killed by some sort of monster.
All their heads were sliced off as investigators looked for leads, but there was nothing and the case was still unsolved. Cursing that the same monster couldn't kill Itachi as well she was quite angry as normally all male students treated her with worship and she would show this arrogant student her strength as a plant and wind mid tier mage.
Sure enough, Itachi sensing out he could feel the cultivation level of quite a few mid tier mages since he was alot stronger than them. Soon the arena filled with well over 200 people approaching 400 as Itachi's smile only grew as more stepped in. Dean Xiao didn't step in wanting to see his capabilities as he was on the edge of his seat in anticipation.
A bright pattern flashed as Itachi's growing smirk flashed to all. Making sure everyone heard him, he called out the lines that made their spines cold as if ice had been poured down their shirt.
"Kayda, make sure not to kill anyone this time"

Dato Hey finally finished up this chapter. I originally didn't plan to finish this today, but I got bored of doing my spanish 3 online class and I came back to finish up this gem. I edited it pretty well spending around 7 hours writing this. Its exactly 4242 words long making it the longest chapter yet. As always comment any suggestions below and I will do by best to continue making 2 long chapters a day as I'm really loving writing this fic.
