Dust and debris fluttered all around, creating a dense cloud. 

Zhang Wang saw stars in his vision both white and black. It took a moment to register the pain, black lightning attacking his nerves and made him feel like he was being burned alive. He swayed on his feet, clenching his chest, fearful that his heart might just suddenly explode like this! 

Despite bracing for the pain and it being difficult to breathe, he had actually expected much worse than this. Zhang Wang was surprised that the powerful descend of the whip did not land! And even though he saw Half Moon hesitate, it was already too late to completely pull back.

But the answer to his question stood resolutely before him. Though the solid stone wall was cleanly cleaved in half, it had stopped the whip's momentum from reaching Zhang Wang. 

A hand grabbed Zhang Wang's wrist. "Let's go!"
