Capítulo 183: Await upstairs

The prison below the fortress that took residence within Haowen Pass was a dark and decrepit place. The air smelled stale and it was likely not often in use before the demons' arrival.

It was eerily quiet. The prisoners likely too prideful to let their suffering be known. It was only after Song Hailun summoned a spirit light and unveiled his presence that the prisoners began to rouse with interest and renewed hope. 

Unlike earlier, this time it took a lot more time and effort to get through the holding cells and the cuffs that held everyone in place. Luckily, most of the captives were experienced with extreme conditions and those that weren't, did not want their weakness to be shown.

Zhang Wang found this to be true when he was undoing the cuffs that would tightly around a woman's wrists. They were shaking beneath his touch when he looked upon her visage, the expression she wore was stoney, completely still and almost aloof.
