I woke up due to the loud banging on the door at the end of the hall. My eyes held the prickly pain of one's desire to sleep, but I know that I can't just forgo my responsibilities.

"Hey Kenji-san! I made that other doo-dad you gave me instructions for! This was really neat, so I spent all night making it!" Gudo-san called out. His deep voice boomed around the building before I heard his footsteps travel down the stairs.

I rubbed my eyes before I turned to face the window. The sunlight that was piercing through made me a bit frustrated since I wanted to sleep some more, but I quickly quelled that sensation by focusing on the tasks ahead.

Today is the funeral ceremony for those that died in the conflict at the Frozen Mist Hills. Lord Bares is hosting it at the town cemetery, and essentially every single adventurer in town along with their families will be in attendance. Our party is expected to stand on the podium due to our involvement with the situation.
